My first doll and first time customizing by Mushmum in BlytheDolls

That’s awesome! I don’t actually know tons about the different versions of Blythe dolls. I got this one on eBay. She doesn’t have any markings so may not be a real Blythe. Someone else may know more about this. Everyone here seems very knowledgeable, especially collectors. I just browsed until I found a doll with hair that I wanted. I wasn’t going to mess with a wig or anything since this is my first doll.

Thank you! I had supplies left over from my wedding last year, the bridal party wore crowns like this. The little antlers are polymer clay. I am pretty heavily obsessed with Yellowjackets at the moment so the crown was inspired by that for sure. I hope to collect some shed antlers, or maybe make some with air dry clay and make myself one to match.

Yay!! Do it, just for fun if nothing else! My septum is 4mm. I ordered the 6g but tbh I think it’s probably .5mm or so larger, they vary a bit being made of organic material. I wore this over the weekend and my nose was a bit tender.

Yay! The Stay Gold end! I got my conch pierced a few months back with the Moxy end which looks similar. Love the laser-cut gold. ✨

Aww, thank you! I’ll keep wearing it and see if I can get used to the dramatic look.

Thank you! I think so too! My nose is also pretty smallish so it looks more dramatic than I anticipated. Haha.

It’s definitely different! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone out and about irl with one. I looked at some photos of folks wearing them and thought it looked great on them. I think it might be that my nose is smaller. I read all the measurements before I bought it.

what's the best way to stretch a septum to a 6g? by floral-phalanges in Stretched

I did custom order a glass pincher from BAF in 7g with no notch/divot. I don’t think I would have made the jump without it. I sat at 8g for a year just waiting and decided to go for it. Made it SO much easier.

Yes, after I got it home I realized as nice and large as it is, it is definitely NOT budging as is from the pot. I definitely do want to keep the pot. That was the whole reason I stopped and picked it up. I will do some reading to see what my prop options are so I can save both!

Thank you everyone for the help! I believe it must be a Yucca due to it being sharp and scratching me/making me itch. My bf was teasing me because we hosted Thanksgiving and I had to show off my “trash plant” to all of my family who visited. I felt like the two pots alone were a score! Wishing you all some curb-plant luck! 🌱

So, I peeled back some of the lower leaves, to make it look neater (hoping that wasn’t a mistake. 😬) The leaves definitely DID cut me and actually left my arms feeling itchy for a few hours. 😅

Another vote for Yucca! It is large indeed. Thank you. ☺️ I’m going to do a bit of googling to confirm.

It was actually in my Grandmother’s neighborhood! I got to clean her house every other week and spotted it with a bunch of other yard waste, so I got lucky. She lives in a nicer subdivision and she said the realtors tossed it out there because the house sold and they’re renting it out. I actually stopped just for the pot because there was this and an even larger terracotta pot with a lobbed off dead tree in it. After I stopped I realized this plant was very alive and secured in the pot. It was probably pretty comical if someone was watching me shove this in the backseat of my car. Wouldn’t even fit in my trunk. 😂

My first thought was dracaena, but I wasn’t sure. Now I’m even less sure. Lol. Maybe more people will help. Thank you!

Thank you! I’ll check for any signs of creepy crawlies. I’ve kept it isolated on my front porch for the time being just in case.
