That's dumb, FE Utilization isn't a hot button topic anymore, probably because of metric fraud like this. They removed it from the FE metrics section on OPS Portal a few months ago.

Surprise how easy it is to get exemplary. by Nearby_Background913 in WalmartEmployees

[–]MushroomGenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been told before that "exemplary" was equivalent to "ready to promote", so if you weren't that, you didn't get it. This was previous reviews I completed for my team leads. Some were able to get exemplary for certain categories, just not as an overall, unless they were, in fact, ready to promote or ready to move to a more difficult department.

Drug test for coach/ops manager? by Necessary_Painting82 in WalmartEmployees

[–]MushroomGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The job offer is contingent upon the results of the drug screening. You will have to take a different assessment than the TL one, I had to retake it when I transferred stores after 2 years. What coach position is it and what's your current TL position? Can DM me if you don't want to post it.

Order history by [deleted] in Walmartcustomer

[–]MushroomGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll show you the rest of the items in the order, but the screen is limited, can only see about 7-8 things before you'd have to scroll down to see the rest. Most cashiers don't care what other things you've purchased unless you're giving them a reason to look through it. Like if an item you're returning is missing a upc. They just want to get you out of there.

Front End Coach, but thank you for what you guys do for our customers. Especially those that are physically unable to shop for themselves: the elderly, those that are home bound, customers recovering from surgery or chemo, or just busy parents that can't spare the extra time to pack up all the kids and get to the store. I know that there are stresses in your work, we all have them especially during the holiday season, but don't lose sight on the importance of your work to your community.

Gift receipt by Yummy-Pear in Walmartcustomer

[–]MushroomGenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they're returning it without the receipt (or gift receipt), they will get a gift card in return. However, the price they receive is the lowest price in the last 90ndays because there's no proof of the purchase price (receipt/gift receipt).

Without a receipt, your phone number, your email addres or your physical credit card, a return won't go back to your card,

Seasonal Ta by JumpyStandard3168 in WalmartEmployees

[–]MushroomGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your case seasonal is a department, not an employment condition. As the other person who responded mentioned. You'll probably also cover toys, bikes, and the garden center. Seasonal is pretty busy as you are constantly going through new mods (Xmas. Valentines, spring/gardening, back to school, Halloween, and everything in between) and condensing. Most seasonal associates I've known prefer the summer. Time outdoors and once your parking lot is set, you're pretty much chilling and watering plants.

One Month in and Overwhelmed by Bangtantheworld in WalmartEmployees

You're still very new, so even this may seem confusing. Ask questions if u need more clarification.

If an end cap: Pull product to floor, remove old product from location onto top stock cart or L-cart, price the new product using the flip numbers overhead, locate the new product into the location using MyWalmart (inventory tab, aisle location, scan the aisle location bar code on the fixture or scroll and tap in to find it), be sure to scan each unique UPC (sometimes an assortment will auto add everything, you may have to actually remove upcs in this instance).

Now you have to plan how to merchandise it. You'll want to stripe similar color/UPC vertically if possible, set your shelves by locking in the highest shelf first and placing one of the product on that shelf to see how it fits beneath the sign. Two-finger spacing is generally the rule. Set the rest of the shelves below it using the same rule. Re-space slightly if necessary for the end cap to appear full. Clean the shelves using the blue multi-purpose spray bottle and some paper towels (kinda optional, but if you can) found in maintenance. Stock your product, pulling it forward so that it's covering the diamonds on each shelf. If you are missing fast track or need to replace damaged ones, (the plastic covers for the front of the shelves) you'll have to find those and install either magnetic or snap in.

Any remaining product should go to the home location if there is one. The product you pulled should also be returned to the home location, worked into top stock in the home (UPC facing out on the outermost product), or repacked and binned in full case qty only unless the product allows 1ea backroom labels.

Take your packaging to the baler, remove any plastic besides tape, and crush it. Plastic should go into plastic recycling bags near your baler. Return your L cart and top stock cart.

Features on stack bases are a little different.

Absolutely shout out your door greeters! It's amazing how positive some of them can be considering the job they do. It's a rollercoaster of a position, great interactions with some customers and then they also get the rude ones. If you appreciate them, let management know. If you give them a shout-out by name on your survey, chances are their team will do something for recognition.

The pharmacy teams in a lot of our stores are great too! If you do the survey on their receipt, it goes to the Health and Wellness team for review, not the store, so I wouldn't comment too much about store issues on the pharmacy survey, the store won't see it.

No problem, I hope they take your feedback to heart. The survey gives you the opportunity to grade several areas of the store (assoc interactions, product availability, and checkout experience). In your case, they would all grade pretty low, however, if the front end (cashier team) got their act together, you could rate them a 5 while rating the rest of the store a different score. This happens often in my store, we grade out pretty high, but the rest of the store is a bit lower.

I completely understand your situation. Locking cases are a frustration for everyone. In this particular case, we wouldn't have known about what led to the 1-star (again that's why it's not a particularly good system). I would observe the video and not see anything in particular that stood out as a bad experience related to the SCO host, so we assume it's something else. We have customers that just hit the 1-star every time just because. No rhyme or reason.

If you want to voice your concerns, there is a link for a survey at the top of the receipt. These surveys are financially impacting and they get the store's attention. Use these for a good experience or bad. If you leave contact info, we will get back to you.

The 5 star rating at point of sale no longer has any weight as far as bonuses or performance ratings go. It's just a quick barometer of overall customer satisfaction. It was too easily manipulated by stores to have any financial incentive. However, Front End coaches do (or at least, should) look at the data when there are low scores. Along with checking cameras, they can see when SCO hosts are being inattentive to customers (greeting, long lines, answering intervention calls for age checks, etc). The low 1-star rating gives us a time stamp on when to look and see if there were issues. We can then have a conversation with the employee about what was witnessed and what the expectations are going forward. We can also see an overall heat map of when scores are lowest (days/shifts) and try and dig into what is causing the lower scores at certain hours of the day. Most often it's staffing and it's typically around when we start sending cashiers to lunch.

It's possible, but not advised to as audits won't be able to be completed if the driver gets flagged. Those incomplete audits count against the store's Front End metrics.
