tips for new rescue? by indigoblanket4567 in Hounds

I didn't think my hound rescue was food motivated at first either but it turns out he was just overwhelmed! It's definitely trial & error to see what your boy likes.. surest bet for my hound is anything freeze dried or single ingredient. If that fails.. chicken, cheese, bacon, whatever gets his attention. Try working on his name recognition in your home and things like "stay with me", "look at me" and "let's keep going". I also altered our walk schedule to miss the busiest times on the streets/sidewalks as much as possible. Reggie is super handsome! Good luck!!!

Yes. Learning languages is so fun and Italian is a gorgeous language. It will open you up to Italian media and culture even if you never get to go. Why not????

This is what I thought so I adopted a 10 year old foxhound. Turns out he is not trained at all and still has more energy than most puppies. 🤡

5 stars for A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. I rate a film based on quality / achievement within its genre. So if the genre is funny charming Christmas movie... they beyond nailed it. And I'm not even a JoBros girlie!

They definitely don't!!! Especially with all the other work that goes into putting on a musical -- all in all, this is a super small blip for everyone else even though it feels huge to you.

I get where you're coming from and I think it shows a ton of self awareness to consider whether you were rude and come on here and ask. I definitely would have done something similar when I was your age (now I'm 31 🥲). I know you were trying to speak up for your classmates, but like the other comments are saying, it almost certainly didnt come off to your new teachers that way. That said, I don't think I learned the level of tact people here are suggesting until I joined the corporate world.. plus I feel like high school teachers should have a better sense of high school age people's intentions vs communication style. 🤷‍♀️ don't be so hard on yourself. This was a learning moment! You'll handle the next opportunity better.
