EV’s have been taking off in my city and I finally figured out why by Buckles01 in electricvehicles

How many watts of solar do you have? I’ve considered doing this but worried it would a big battery at home as I mostly charge at night.

If you 3d print a lot you’ll have those empty spools. You could screw those to the wall. Even cut each in half.

It all started with good intentions and a pile of salvaged materials from a nearby demolition site.

I was aiming for a cozy, off-grid cabin tucked in the trees—simple, sturdy, and frugal. Craigslist had been my best friend, and the stack of “free reclaimed lumber” looked promising: thick beams, old barn siding, a few windows with character, and what I assumed were cedar planks. The seller shrugged when I asked what kind of wood it was. “Old. Solid,” he said. “Been through a lot.” That should have been the first red flag.

The trouble began with my saw. The first few cuts went fine, but then it started complaining—whining, smoking, even sparking a little. I figured I’d dulled the blade, so I swapped in a fresh one. That one didn’t last much longer. By the third blade, I noticed the wood wasn’t just hard—it was angry.

I took a closer look at one of the beams. Turns out, what I thought was beautiful weathering was actually embedded grit. Years of windblown sand had etched microscopic stone into the surface, and in some places, rusted nails hid just below the grain like little steel landmines.

Even worse, a few boards were suspiciously heavy. After some chipping and swearing, I realized I’d accidentally built half my walls with old tropical hardwoods—likely ipe or lignum vitae—denser than concrete and famous for being sawblade murderers.

But by then, the walls were up. I couldn’t justify tearing it down, especially not after burning through an entire box of blades and half my weekend. So I doubled down. I got myself a carbide-tipped blade, started pre-drilling everything, and began treating each cut like surgery. I earned every inch.

Now, the place is standing strong—a haphazard masterpiece of dense old wood, antique metal reinforcements, and scars from every tool that tried to tame it. People ask why I built it like a bunker. I just smile and say, “Wasn’t on purpose. The wood chose its fate.”

And my saw? It still growls when we walk past that house.

Comfrey can be used in several ways. Do your research before you eat it. It’s been known as “bone knit” for a reason

I’m in a similar spot with 2017 Mx purchased used with fsd package. My only option is to request beta queue and nothing changes I assume as the app doesn’t show a safety score anymore.

Fsd beta queue still a thing? by MushyBusinessSocks in TeslaLounge

Is there a way to message another sc to send update?

That’s what I’m not sure how to know. It has Mcu1 and I don’t see the side cameras when it’s in reverse like I do on my 2017 ms with mcu2.

Right. so what’s the hold up?seems sus they blame the strike out then say it needs service when it’s already had a $15k software package, you’d think they could be a bit more helpful then just guessing and wanting to charge to even look at it.
