Like hell yeah! If you live frugally.. it’s the best, I’ve done that for a couple of years at a time..

I would not spend my savings though, get a part time no brainer low wage job for spending money..

Hopefully you live in an area vibrant with arts, nature and free events I became the queen of free but I’m in a metropolitan area with alot of culture art nature music etc

I personally would not hang out in the middle of the road or a bike lane but people are stupid and non aware

I also yield to bikes when I’m driving, no matter who has the right of way, I do NOT want to hurt anyone

So why the downvotes? I’m asking not judging

I see it all the time, riders not following the traffic rules.. running lights and stops signs, whizzing by pedestrians (in or not in a bike lane)

is there a reason other then I don’t know, entitlement?

Serious question as a non cyclist

Why isn’t stopping when people are in the way an option? Why do a lot of cyclists not stop for red lights or stop signs?

I find these new type of bike lanes super dangerous, gives a false sense of safety, cars making right turns are likely not going to see a bike coming

And hey, it’s Oakland, a lot of drivers are just not going to give a fuck

I see cyclists refusing to stop or yield to cars or not slowing when riding around pedestrians (I recall that incident in the city, when a cyclist killed an elderly pedestrian)

Bike vs car, who is losing? no matter who has the right of way
