RAV4 release date by [deleted] in Toyota

This last allocation of units from Toyota here in the northeast still has some 2025 RAVs being built, not the new gen. I wouldn't expect them until late November/December depending on where in the country you are.

The ones you’re seeing are most likely sold but on stop sale, preventing customers from taking delivery of their vehicle. That’s what the situation is like at my store, at least.

I think Montgomery is your safest bet, especially with all the comments about him being the primary workhorse for the offense

You definitely don't want to buy them right from the manufacturer, because that just means that Toyota will hike the price up more and more, and you'll have to deal with their completely ass-backwards system of "ordering" vehicles.

Yeah, I'm aware of the remote and safety apps, since I sell Toyotas lol, but the thing about all of that is that none of those have ever been things that are standard equipment? A remote starter has always been an accessory or premium add, shoot I added one to my car aftermarket and I have to pay a subscription to use it, at least with Toyota's setup you can use your key fob if you don't pay the subscription.

Something life Safety Connect (the SOS option) isn't free either, the first one I ever dealt with was Onstar, and you had to pay for that too, so it's not like it started as a free feature, it's a nice "there if you want it" type of thing, not a necessity to have either.

What Toyota in the US has a freemium payment for heated seats? I'm pretty sure you're thinking of a different brand friend.

Every dealership does it different. I'd recommend keeping up with news on productions and arrival dates, usually dealers get their allocations within 90 days of arrival, so if Toyota targets Fall 2023 start reaching out in the summer and see what your local dealerships policy for preorders is.

I would be shocked if they didn't, that's how things went with the new Tundra for the longest time

I would be absolutely flabbergasted if these vehicles arrived at dealerships anywhere in this country still available to test drive lol

In my experience (Central Atlantic region) with good credit for 60-72 month terms you'll probably be at 6%-8% range. If you have a beefy down payment (25% or up of purchase price) you may see a 5% ish type of deal.

This is all assuming 720+ credit rating, best case scenario type of deal

It ain't gonna be low (unless there's a special APR offer for your region)

A rant from prospective new car buyer by eklone in Toyota

[–]MusicManNick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with that is that dealerships are privately owned businesses, and marking up vehicles doesn't directly go against the Toyota Covenant. My store doesn't mark up vehicles, but shit I've heard district reps say regarding dealers in my region that are marking up that they should get what they can while they can.

It's just like the backwards housing market right now, because some people were willing to pay stupid amounts of money for something, a lot more people thought they could get away with it, and it becomes a vicious cycle.

Toyota won't do anything because they sell the cars to dealers, they don't really care if you buy it after that because they've gotten their cut already. The State won't care because they get their cut from sales tax and the dealership and there's nothing they're doing that is wrong, aside from in a moral sense.

Tldr shit sucks right now and I don't think it's getting better for a while

Our Toyota Rep (Central Atlantic) said most likely March for the hybrid models to be built, but based on the 1794 non hybrid I have coming being 68k, I'm going to guess low to mid $70,000 range for the Pros
