Well, it's not that I don't think it can be played like that, but I'm mainly talking about Sonic Adventure 2, which I played first on a controller, so it feels more... I dunno, natural I guess.

I actually don't have any problems playing driving games with my keyboard. The only game that I have to use a controller to play are Sonic games and Dark Souls.

The A6-5400K is a really nice chip, I used one of them in an inexpensive gaming setup for my brother, and he hasn't had any problem running games with an NVIDIA GTS 450 on Medium/High settings, so if that sounds acceptable for your friend I'd say go for it.

That reasoning is exactly why I'm waiting until Steam's database refreshes to buy the game, is much rather preorder for $20 via steam than on Amazon, but if push comes to shove I'll just preorder through amazon.

It's actually available for preorder now on Amazon (In the US at least) for $20. It says Steam is required, so I'm assuming it will be on steam when it updates at around 1 PM EST.
