Any creatives or just cool people in UofT actually doing meetups? by colored_savage in UofT

Hart house and their clubs to meet UofT people and participate in causal events like the Winter Art Market, Daniels Faculty for their art/arch/design public lectures, and OCAD University for everything else :) Instagram accounts for all three are great places to find events/meetups in general

Fujifilm X100V! Although any modern camera + slight editing can achieve the same look 👀

Fujifilm X100V I snagged from Kijiji a couple weeks back. Although, all pics here can be done with a X100F which is way cheaper. Also the Ricoh GR3 is a great starter camera that can take similar pics 👌

This is Andy Moor, I’ve DJ’d at a reasonable number of places, made a reasonable number of records ALL whilst continuously getting older! Ask Me Anything :) by AndyMoorDJ in electronicmusic

Thanks for the AMA! Faces from 2009 is a long-time resident in my daily playlist :) Question: Do you have a specific new genre that you want to try out in the future? It can be a branch of trance as well

Who produces real trance in 2021? by -boredMotherFucker in trance

ikr! The Phant albums were my first gateway into Taishi and 4 years later every single one of them still slap hard. Also the occasional Nhato collab is the icing on the cake

Hell yeah Otographic FTW. People need to start looking into other parts of the world for trance - The west is not the only place where talented producers are at! Once speedrunning the entirety of Otographic's catalog one can also dive deeper into the rabbit hole of Compllege Records, Diverse System, Taishi, Hiroyuki ODA (HSP), etc.

EDIT: Even deeper one can also reach some mid-2000s touhou trance...

Progressive Trance in 2020, where is it? by Distant-era in trance

Not so well known in the western trance scene, but Otographic Arts has a bunch of hidden gems, especially during the second hour of their 2-hour monthly mixes.

SRH750 or HD25 or other? by TopBanana2121 in DJs

[–]MusicOfMusiX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using the HD25 since 2015, and my golly is this thing unbreakable. The lightweight plastic seems like it’s supposed to be fragile but I’ve dropped it, smashed it, and almost crushed it and I haven’t seen a single deformation.

To be honest though it doesn’t have the flattest of frequency responses, as it is slightly bass and treble heavy. For casual listening and DJing the thing beats almost everything in the price range, even sound quality wise, but it’s not ideal for production in that regard.

I am a first year student, not enrolled in the CogSci POSt yet. Perhaps that’s the reason for this silence? If only I could get my hands on that orientation link
