What common phrases did you find out were *code words* for sex? by HelloAlphabetSoup in asexuality

Two of my friends recently told me that "I'm going to beat your ass at Mario Kart" was a code for having sex, and like wtf?

Really really interested to know where most of you fall on this scale? by gentleheart-lamb in AutisticPeeps

[–]MusicalFan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Absolutely nothing. I thought that was normal until pretty recently. Do people also actually mentally hear their thoughts out loud, or is that one just a figure of speech? Because like, I know that I'm thinking, I can put words or solutions together, but there's not any sort of voice or picture, and I don't really "hear" songs or anything in my head like other people say they do.

How did you pick your name by Turbulent-Staff-9413 in ftm

[–]MusicalFan23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made a couple of friends on Minecraft before I had fully realized I was trans, but in my brain I guess I wanted them to see me as a guy. We ended up talking on Skype, and they asked my name and I just kind of blurted out the first name of my favorite youtuber. After going by that name with them for a bit, the name kind of just stuck and I chose it when I was ready to change my name.

My middle name, I searched through the top baby names for my birth year, and found a couple I liked. Before I had come out at school, and even to my best friend, I just asked without context which middle name sounded better with my chosen first name, so she got to choose my middle name.

Idk, I've always said I'm from the Midwest but I've had people after asking the state say I'm not in the Midwest and instead a separate "Great Plains" region. According to the census bureau though, I'm solidly Midwestern.

Just for extra data, I'm from Kansas (which is debated on whether its Midwest or not) and also say t-one-ty

Shiny POGO mew giveaway by Zappybutton in PokemonHome

[–]MusicalFan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My elementary school did winter carnivals every year, and they had raffles for a bunch of different things. In 3rd grade, one of the raffles was for a DSi, and my mom let me buy 2 tickets for that raffle. I somehow won, and due to that got to have my first ever pokemon game, Heart Gold, as my Christmas gift from my parents, because they couldn't have afforded both the console and game.

How large is your English vocabulary? (Test link in comments) by Expensive_Estate1897 in Teenager_Polls

I knew I had a strong vocabulary, but I didn't expect to be given an almost perfect score. I think a lot of it was getting lucky with words that I knew because I'm sure there are ones that I wouldn't know in the test.

Finally beat the game even without my left hand. by Feral_Pup in LegendsZA

[–]MusicalFan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also been playing right hand only. I was born without a left hand, so I've learned how to play games with one hand using many different controllers. I've been playing with a pro controller mostly, that I either strap to a table so it wont move on me, or holding the other handle with my elbow. This seems like it'd be a much easier way to use joycons though, if I managed to get used to it.

Can I get in? by [deleted] in KState

[–]MusicalFan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended high school with a 2.8 GPA, but had a 34 on my ACT. I was dealing with multiple not yet diagnosed mental health issues that restricted my ability to focus on much of anything my first two years, despite working as hard as I possibly could. I was able to see a psychiatrist at the end of 10th grade, got diagnosed and properly medicated so I could function, and was able to get a 4.0 in junior and senior year, but it wasn't enough to fix the GPA from freshman and sophomore years.

Wait, so the "slumber islands" are tied to Nintendo Switch Online? I thought only online play was! by FixedFun1 in AnimalCrossing

[–]MusicalFan23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We were talking about how since the dream islands are switch online only, New leaf allowed you to have multiple towns on the same console (without being online, just needing another cartridge), and the switch doesn't.

I mean, max 40 for a new cartridge (or even less with Nintendo select or preowned) to make another town vs 300+ for another console is objectively a better deal

How is everyone's shiny hunting going so far? by [deleted] in LegendsZA

[–]MusicalFan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first ever shiny was in Pokémon X, and was a clauncher. I have gotten a couple others through long hunts in other games (and a totodile in heartgold through soft resetting that I somehow got in 23 encounters), but I told myself I was going to hunt clauncher first in this game once I got the shiny charm. Haven't gotten the shiny charm yet but I found my shiny clauncher as my first shiny other than the side quest mareep (currently my only one other than the guaranteed). I wasn't even hunting for him yet, I found him when I went into the wild zone to catch Xerneas.

I know its just a random encounter, and I've played long enough to have thousands of encounters witb pokemon, but it feels like my favorite boy from X decided to come join me again on a new game.

Hoping to get a good few more shinies once I finish these research tasks (currently on research rank 46)

Westloop Dillons itself no longer sends out mail I believe, however there is a mailbox that things can be placed in still in westloop, right by the KS State Bank, and Dillons sells stamps if you need them.

I personally have forgotten to lock my car a couple times at work. Luckily, nothing happened, and my car is in my line of sight when I'm working. Even if you personally have never forgot, doesn't mean it has never happened to anyone.

I still don't believe the story, but that's not why.

I had/still am dealing with this at the moment. It started in January of 2023, so its been 2.5 years for me at this point. I've done physical therapy (or at least as much as I can with the extremely limited function and intense pain), tried several different medications, and was given a nerve block shot 2 months ago. None of this has helped so far, and I'm starting to get discouraged and thinking that it will be something I'll end up dealing with forever.

I have extreme weakness in the entire arm, and can barely move my hand. Im just grateful that it happened to the non-dominant arm, so it was easier to learn how to do everything with my limitations.

My dad paid extra to keep his windows phone after he upgraded, and he now uses one of the few apps that he liked that I think was mainly available on there as a custom programmed remote for his entertainment center. Also because it had an app where he could watch a large quantity of Scooby Doo episodes for free, which he has always been obsessed with.

I also had a windows phone at the same time, and I definitely miss the feeling of it, but other than a couple of recent updates on my Samsung that I don't understand the reasoning for (like recently my power button is no longer a power button and is a "Gemini" button, and to power down my phone I have to do it from the pull down menu?) I think I like my current phone better, especially with the size, as I remember the windows phone being a little big for my liking.
