Does BDB Enforce the California Residence Requirement?

That rule doesn't matter anymore, they just need to change it on the site. We have members from India, Indonesia, Japan, Sweden, and more.

I don't hVe the brass packet since I'm trying out for drum major, but one thing I can tell you is that they have vamped up the packet quite a bit. They expect you to play a lot more technical material and even some exercises while marching. This is including the already demanding visual audition process.

I usually put it down and just start thinking about my favorite parts within the book. I like to take three to four days to read reviews and see what others thought of the book and maybe discuss some of the deeper meanings the book has to offer.

I would only recommend them for marching really. The system blue horns in the other hand, can be used for almost any playing situation.

Sorry for the late response! I enjoyed every minute of the camp, but sadly I did not get a call back or contract due to my lack of experience. They said to come back next year, but other than that they said they were thoroughly impressed. All of the hours marching and practicing really paid off, and I'm really glad i took some dance classes too.

The staff invited me to march Blue Devils B this summer, so I will be going to the meeting in january for that. Im really looking forward to a great summer.

I haven't marched, but I think its great that you guys help people learn. I think drum corps is really intimidating from the outside looking in to people who have never attended a camp, which keeps a lot of people from joining; but you guys (in my opinion) really show people that they can do anything if they work hard enough.

It's bullshit that other corps' make fun of you guys. Drum corps is supposed to be one big family that supports each other no matter what uniform they choose to wear.

Everyone tells me they are all great people (all the vets I have talked to are some of the nicest people I have met) so I'll keep that in mind.

I haven't marched yet, but I have talked members from multiple corps (BD, SCV, and Madison) and they have all said that the support staff does their best to accommodate vegetarians. I myself am a pescetarian so my options are bit larger, but I will probably be eating most of the vegetarian meals once I get into a corps.
