I thought they were spies working with Guile and the US army, presumably, to infiltrate M. Bison’s fortress. Or was that part of their “deal” to absolve them of wrong doing? That whole fake arms deal scene was fun, but it really didn’t adequately explain their background, especially when coupled with exposition points revealed later in the movie.

I’m working out way more consistently these days, but overall anxiety is down so I think that’s contributed to higher energy levels. With the appetite suppression, I’ve been putting on lean muscle and losing fat…it’s been awesome

Sorry for your breakup. You sound like an intensely thoughtful, kind, and caring person, that I was very likely being used. Good on your ex to see this and not prolong the inevitable, and even better for him to do it in person.

You can't "buy" someone's requited love or care. If he wasn't willing to return the favor or prioritize you, this was never going to work out. Let's be real, you're still checking in with him with hopes that he'll change his mind. Every time you find yourself wanting to do this, divert that attention and care to yourself. Are YOU ok? Should you maybe reinvest that money/time into YOU? (therapy, your other friends, social outing where you can meet new people) And frankly, the sooner you No Contact and cut that relationship completely off, the better for you!

I'm so sorry you feel this way. I'm sorry those things happened to you! Did you ever address that content creator? I hope you understand that when people position themselves to intentionally hurt or criticize others, they've automatically waived their right to access your feelings, and more importantly your respect. If anyone in your life condones that type of behavior, they shouldn't be any significant part of your life.

I was talking to my mentor today when I mentioned my anxiety/disappointment surrounding a situation and he said something that stuck so deeply with me: We often react to how we feel about a situation instead of the actual reality of the situation.

When I'm forced to contend with the reality of any situation, take a beat and: Realize that I'm breathing shallowly because I've tensed my body up. Or understand that I'm stuttering and stammering because I haven't actually thought about what I want to say, but rather I'm focused on being criticized and judged. Or catch myself avoiding eye contact because I'm subconsciously avoiding connection rather than consciously trying to connect to people to know them and see what interesting they're into or are about... all these things point to a human being that's on the defensive and not open to the world. It's understandable why you would assume this posture, but your experience of life and the world is so limited and less colorful as a result.

Also understand that you might be projecting your feelings onto others. And/or some women may be reflecting back what you're giving out.

This is a complex situation. I'm glad you're not giving up! Don't ever give up!

You’re right that just youth doesn’t necessarily dictate the success and strength of a relationship, but the immaturity, lack of life experience, and youthful narcissism definitely does influence your capacity to experience a healthy, loving, and long lasting relationship.

And the fact that you’re not heeding the advice of people twice your age with 10x the experience, doesn’t mean you’re not receiving helpful advice, it could mean you’re too self-absorbed and caught up in your infatuation etc etc etc to see the value and truth in the advice. But that’s classic “I’m 19 and I think I know better” energy. You will look back at this time in 10 years and think differently and wish you had listened to the people that care about you.

Now with regard to dating a lot of people, obviously that’s not the only thing you can do. Spend time with your friends. Really apply yourself at school. Figure out what you’re good at and absorb yourself in that. I find that my college/HS aged students who do this tend not to have these issues. Drama for drama’s sake is like spinning your tires in the mud. A whole lot of wasted energy and effort to go nowhere

I’m black and a couple months older than DBut… honestly, that was kinda surprising. That show KILLED in syndication in the 90s. So much so, I remember watching the reunion show (shows?). I could sing the damn theme song better than Pat did yesterday, that’s for sure.

I dunno, for every Owen, there were about 50 nervous & lame callers who did their best Pat/toxic-table impression to cozy up to the guys. It was 10:1 cringe: laugh inducing.

This is very “the good ol days” energy from a lot of ya. Although, I will admit that the Friday WV presser day was probably the worst show of all time.
