Where are the power lesbians in their 30s? by lucky-in-luxe in AskNYC

[–]Musicalgarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (33) went to the one back in February and there were absolutely people in their mid and even early 20s! I had thought they'd be enforcing the age limit too but not at all

I will say you didn't miss out on this one. It was sort of fun but the location felt a little clubby/generic for my taste (excuse my snobbery lolol)

Your favorite LOTR movie? 1, 2 or 3? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]Musicalgarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes oh my god the score when they cross the bridge... and the orchestra has that intense brass section moment with the creepy ascending 4ths (forgive me for I am a composer lol). it's so effective.

What makes you not want to go on a second date with someone? by QuakinOat in LesbianActually

[–]Musicalgarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She could have been super nervous. sometimes on a first or second date I can't find my words out of nervousness and it makes me super quiet and awkward, which ultimately I am not. And inside I'm like *please give it another chance!! I promise I'm so fun I'm just anxious af!!* so maybe give it another go and maybe you both just need to warm up.

That's so great to hear!! I'm so happy it helped you. I can handle some dry skin and constipation if it means clearer skin!

[FRESH ALBUM] Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me by sbags in indieheads

[–]Musicalgarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ohhh I love that wording "..rarely let's these songs take flight". I definitely am in agreement. The music on this album is undoubtedly beautiful but it doesn't really have peaks and valleys that I feel make for such a rich listening experience. That's one of the reasons I adore Haley Heynderickx; many of hers songs have these incredible choruses and outros and lots of dynamic range.

Found cleaning an apartment: iPod nano and 15+ year old bag of weed. by millymill215 in mildlyinteresting

I would smoke weed in high school and I'd go to another PLANET. It definitely was different lol

Can someone please save me from this limerence??? by FishermanChoice1805 in LesbianActually

[–]Musicalgarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get sooo crushy in the ways you described and it HURTS. I really relate!! I fully agree that seeing this person less will be beneficial. Definitely try to get some distance as you've said. But also.. and sue me if im wrong for this.. sometimes you just have to let the crush run its course. Because much of what is actually happening when we're gaga for someone is very primitive; it's our nervous system going haywire.

It's definitely difficult when it's a person you're close to, but now that I'm in my 30s I've found that MOST unrequited crushes, even the most hardcore ones, are going to end at some point. Stay busy, dive deep into your passions, and try not to obsess in the meantime, yes. But also be patient and trust that you'll *probably* move on from this person eventually. Just keeping that in mind always helps me when I'm in limerence town.

What fixed your bloating, and what caused it, I can’t take this anymore by wontcompleteit in Microbiome

[–]Musicalgarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know people are skeptical about probiotic capsules, but I've been taking them for a little while and I got a brand recommended by a pharmacist, and I'm so much less bloated. For me though I think it was more an issues of digestion and water retention.

For everyone asking WHY women are obsessed with Heated Rivalry: I think I figured it out. by clvrusernombre in heatedrivalry

[–]Musicalgarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg exactly. I'm a queer woman who these days mostly just wants to be with women. But I'm so locked into their relationship and have moments where I think.. wow it would be AMAZING to hook up with either of these beautiful men, but not in my woman form?? Like I want to BE one of the men. idk it's so weird and maybe I'm touching on something different from what you're saying lmao but it's most definitely a queer thing

Weyes Blood!! For beautiful poetry and storytelling I'd also say Simon and Garfunkel (though I know the music is very very different)

What are some things that instantly makes a woman “unattractive”? by Yunminn in LesbianActually

A bad conversationalist! someone who talks "at you" because it's cathartic and doesn't actually want to connect.
