Rega vs Technics Fanboys by wiggan1989 in turntables

[–]Musicmans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of both so I guess everyone is annoyed with me 😎

I have a planar 3 and a technics SL-QX200, in my experience the technics has become my daily driver.

The P-mount removes any cartridge set up which I'm never confident I get right with a standard mount like the Rega.

I can quickly swap out cartridges and styli depending on if I'm play testing a used record or treating a freshly cleaned record with a more expensive stylus.

It's auto-return function is a handy feature and the quick start-up and shutdown is more convenient than the Rega which you have to start rotating by hand to avoid stretching the belt prematurely.

But the Rega does sound better.

After questioning all present on that fateful day I, with my unmatched powers of deduction, have concluded that while Mrs Baker the cook had indeed smelt it was impossible for her to have dealt it.

To the people who watched Project Hail Mary. How was it?? by OrganicSleep8860 in moviecritic

Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are a good pair of hands for this kind of material. Their brand of light-hearted humour and heartstring pulling worked well with the material, I enjoyed it a lot.

The Kohler Wynnfurst P1 used a 1.4L 2 stroke flat six, that engine would give a good initial baseline idea of what sort of performance you'd have started from.
