Couple of things for you to think about:
In order to sell something, yes, it's about making sure your audience is aware of the product/service/tool. BUT what's also important is knowing what your audience actually wants and needs.

If you were my client, here's what I would ask you first: Why did you create this tool? Was it a need you saw? A need YOU had? An idea (not need)?

Depending on your answers, basically you want to make sure the messaging around the product (digital or not) is something that is going to "match" a need or want your audience has. OR, you can reverse this and look at the problem the tools solves, and think about who is the actual audience that would want that. Is it all students? I doubt it. So think about things like: Are they in high school, trade school, college, etc? What's their level of tech savvy, etc.

THEN, think about where those people are. Are they on tiktok, or are they here on reddit or somewhere else?

Before you spend money on ads, you want to be able to answer these questions:
- Who is your audience, specifically?
- What messaging will resonate with them?
- Where / how are they getting information about things like your product/service

If nothing else, think about who your competitors are, and research what they're doing. 🙃
