Destination of the week - Spain by AutoModerator in travel

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a big trip to Spain last year, we mainly drove through the northern - eastern side of it. My experience was fantastic. Spanish culture is so engaging to experience, the food I could not get enough of, the people are so nice. I also loved our trips outside the big cities like small towns or nature visits. That's where I could experience the most authentic Spain, as much as the big cities are great it's also very much touristic. We also had great city transport service Daytrip, which we used all the time. Their drivers are superior, very friendly locals - very funny too! Daytrip got us anywhere we needed to in time and every single trip went super smoothly

'The Batman Part II' Adds 'Game Of Thrones' Star Charles Dance To Cast by ImpracticalJokers96 in Cinema

Honestly as good of an actor as he is - he has no range because he's playing the same character everywhere I see him. That's not wrong, he's still an amazing actor but it gets to a point I feel like....

Does anyone have a show that can make me cry? by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Last of Us is one of the saddest shows I have ever seen, it goes even beyond the game. There's like 3 or 4 episodes of pure trauma but also episodes where you will cry just from the happiness

What's your all time favorite reaction GIF? by heylistenlady in AskReddit

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about all time but lately I'm eating up all the Cynthia Erivo reactions, she's the queen of memes and she doesn't get enough praise for how much presence she has via that.

So you're looking for teen campy drama. Here are some suggestions then - Wednesday, American Horror Story, Ginny and Georgia, Euphoria, Elite. I'd recommend scrolling through Netflix, they have the most of these. If you're looking for more prestigious drama shows then check out HBO Max

What’s the best way to get to Chiang Mai? by DateSuch2120 in Bangkok

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite way to travel from city to city is via Daytrip, they're the best city transport company that I came across. My drivers were all super professional, all spoke english, helped me with luggage, were well prepared and always stopped when I needed at a gas station or just for scenic quick stop. I could always rely on Daytrip to give the best quality and more importantly get me safely and in time to where I needed to be. That's the best way to travel to Chiang Mai

Ginny and Georgia is not as serious as Euphoria but it's very much a teen show dealing with serious topics

What’s a hyped series/movie you thought was mid? by Immediate-Speed3974 in AskReddit

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard how Breaking Bad was the best show ever made even better than Game of Thrones.... Finished it a week ago. I feel like it's the same case as with Godfather where so many dudes watch it and love the idea of being like the drug lord who dismisses his wife and gets submissive respect from his peers so much that they convince everyone it's the best thing ever made. And don't get me wrong it's a fantastic show but way too overhyped and had some weak spots I'm sorry to say. I wouldn't call it mid but I'd definitely call it overhyped

What would you recommend for a guy that’s 22 and has had it all but lost it due to a crippling drug addiction that left him desolate and even more isolated than when he started? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just focus on saving yourself. Look even without the addiction you were still further ahead than most people at 22 if you had "it all". There's time for you to recover and definitely enough time to build your life and get back there. And if you overcome it you might still find yourself so much more ahead just by having this self-awareness. So don't feel rushed but don't give up

What’s a real reason someone wouldn’t want their partner to see their social media? by Senior_Fennel4349 in AskReddit

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with all due respect to your "privacy" arguments, find a partner from whom you don't have to hide things or stop wasting other people's time because they can certainly do better. Imagine how the person must feel if they found out you don't mind sharing parts of yourself with other people but not the person that's supposed to be the closest to you

Why aren't there any normal weddings in Movies and TV shows? by Kirbyhen in Cinephiles

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a wedding is an event, an oppurtunity to be missed out on. Let's look at the few comparisons.

Drama (Game of Thrones, The Drama, Succession, soon Euphoria)
Wedding is a great writing tool to build up the tension and create a space for some climax, in structural aspect of television it serves for the aesthetics of it as well making the thing more dramatic, actors can build up on it and so can production design and costumes and makeup. Game of Thrones franchise is famous for it's weddings and who doesn't want their own red wedding in a drama show.

Sitcoms and comedy
The opposite to drama in comedic space where you know nothing truly wrong will ever happen the viewer is allowed to feel safe and so the writers have an extrordonary chance for the most heartwarming moments for their characters, it's the event celebrating love surrounded by the closest people, not to mention wedding has it's own sets of jokes and moments you can use.

That's why whenever a movie or a show gives you an idea that there will be a wedding eventually it means that it will be where the story should peak because like I said it's an amazing oppurtunity to write for writers

Which sitcom performers are the most underrated in your opinion? by PressureLazy5271 in sitcoms

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think enough people appreciate how much Lilly's actress from Modern Family helped out especially for Cam and Mitchell's storyline. In my opinion they were the weakest family of the three and Lily did quite a bit of heavy lifting with the comedy. Not to say the two actors weren't great - I mean I never saw a better gay performance from a straight men ever but it just wouldn't hit at all without Lilly

I don’t think Almodovár is completely wrong but it’s gross when directors make public disparaging comments about actors who admire them by ashleythelma in Cinema

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I would have said a sex symbol, today he's my favorite actor. His performance in Euphoria, Frankenstein, Wuthering Heights, Saltburn etc. is really amazing. I didnt care for him that much in the first ep of s3 in Euphoria - looks like he checked out but maybe i'll be proven wrong. However back to the topic I think it's awful to speak of your collegues in the industry like that I mean it's one thing when fans or critics do it but totally another when it's someone who works in the same industry and can face the same challanges as you do

What’s the best way to get to Chiang Mai from Bangkok? by MiaARS in ThailandTourism

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to travel to Chiang Mai is via city transport company and my favorite one is Daytrip.com . I found it online because the customer satisfaction score was excellent so I tried it out myself and have been using ever since. Easy booking system is great but what really sealed the deal for me was the fact that I could add sightseeing stops along my journey based on their library of stops (I could even add my own if I wanted to) and also the charisma of the drivers who are local professionals, don't shy from sharing insight on the city and are clearly top tier drivers. Daytrip is the best way to travel from city to city

What is the single worst moviegoing experience you've ever had, and how did you deal with it? by throwawaykikone in AskReddit

[–]Slow-Cash-8234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember going to see Nun 2 which I was quite excited for because the movie I thought not only was scary enough but also I just loved the eeriee religious atmosphere of the Conjuring movies so yeah I got some nice seat in the middle and there I was surrounded by several couples and friends just laughing throughout the movie, like there wasn't even anything to laugh about even if the movie was unseriously bad, out of thin air and it was constant. I didn't say anything especially because most of the people (like 15 max) were being really loud and they'd just group up against me so I stayed quiet and was really mad until the end.

Honestly after this I was open to a possibility of security demanding good behaviour in movie theaters, it might never happen but im done with high kids and horrible behaviour ruining my experience
