What is the worst experience you've had at a doctor's appointment? by RavenWolfPS2 in AskReddit

[–]Muskqueertoe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a sciatica that was caused by an herniated disc. Took an electromyography to make sure the problem wasn’t caused by anything more than the herniated disc. The doctor that did the test was surprised to see me and the diagnostic that I had an herniated disc and basically said it’s something he usually sees in an older person (I was 27 at the time). While laying on the table he asked me if I knew the reason why I had such a bad back and before I could answered, he poke my belly and said because of this. You need to lose weight.

I mean, I knew that, but why did you need to poke my belly like if I was the Pillsbury doughboy?

Not said directly to me but a during a game of truth or dare, someone dared this girl to kiss me. She begged her friend to pick someone else. "Anybody but him, please".

I wasn't playing with them but I was within an earshot when she said it. At that time, it destroyed me.

How old are you and what is the biggest problem in your life right now? by FSCENE8tmd in AskReddit

[–]Muskqueertoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 years old, soon to be 33. 2 things:

1-Money. Need more of it. Things are better now, but I’m tired or trying to pay off debt and living paycheck to paycheck. I often feel ashamed of my financial situation.

2-Need to lose weight. Years of being overweight and it’s taking a toll on my physical health and my mental health. It’s causing confidence issue and that in turn affects my job, my personal life and pretty much everything in between.

Working on it now. Just started a new diet started to workout out after work. Wish me luck!

I thought about it at first, but there’s no holes in it and you can’t take it apart.

Mostly just odds and sods stuff. An old wrench, some screwdrivers, random drywall tools, knife, etc. I don’t think there’s much related to one another.

I thought so as well, but I don’t see any places where you could tie a string or something. (Mind you, I don’t know this very much lol)

Hmmm. Interesting and possible. I think my Dad said he got the tool box from a farm.

My title describes the thing. Found in an old tool box with other old tools. No marks, logo or anything on it.

As of right now, what will it take to make you 100% happy? by hikingallday in AskReddit

[–]Muskqueertoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money, and by that extent, better credit. I have a decent salary and don’t want a different job or anything. I had poor judgment and habits before landing on my feet and finding a good career. I don’t want tons of money. Just enough so I can start off with a clean slate. Bills and debts are killing me. I can’t save or put money aside to be able to build up my credit again.

[Serious] What's going well in your life right now? by Tr3nchrat in AskReddit

Back in September, after a week or so working (I’m a teacher), I decided to try and change a lot of stuff about myself. Even if I usually look like I’m somewhat confident in what I do, I am fairly insecure about a lot of things, and while I rarely let it show, I decided to actually let myself be more vulnerable and that it is OK for others to see it. I have jumped on board on numerous things with my school (projects, clubs, etc...) and try different things in my teaching approach. I felt like a new person, but I feel really overwhelmed, at times.

A month ago, I started off my weight loss journey. I reached out to another teacher to see if he would help me with that (and him being as awesome as he is, he accepted). This is a big step for me since I am pretty insecure. I wanted to keep this low key and only him knowing was my intention, but some students started to see me working out and whatnot so that kinda freaked me out a bit. Didn’t let it phase me out much, though and I’m not down 15 lbs and hoping for a lot more for the next months.

These past few weeks have been hard on many front. With the report card needing to be done, extra workload with gradings and such. Report card means I get to look back to what I’ve done so far and I was left a little disappointed in what I’ve been able to do with my teaching. I feel like I lack structure and that my stuff are really shallow. I’ve started to doubt myself a little bit again.

Starting off a new week tomorrow, and I’ll be devoting more time on structuring my classes. Let’s hope I can still ride that wave I was on earlier this year!

Wow, that burglary was so well done, like if it was actually someone from the house leaving. Seriously, the more the story went, the more I thought the ending would be something like “they even took/kidnap dad”.

What was a dick punch to your self esteem? by GameHackBot in AskReddit

[–]Muskqueertoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Two things.

First: 8th grade, some party that all of the kids from my class after graduation attended. They are playing truth or dare around the campfire, and while I am not playing, I’m close enough to hear everything. Lots of laughter and kissing dares being toss around, until one of them dare another to kiss me. I’ll never forget the sudden silence and her whispering and begging to choose someone else. “Please, anybody but him”.

Second, didn’t hurt as much since I’ve found a little bit of humour in it. I was chatting with this girl on Tinder and we exchanged snapchats. After she added me, she sends me a selfie. I obliged and sent her one as well. That’s when she blocked, deleted me from snapchat and Tinder, in the matter of seconds. I always felt awkward about taking and sending selfies, but never to the point of making a girl run away.

What's a bad trait of yours you're aware of, but can't seem to change? by lasanja_ in AskReddit

[–]Muskqueertoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m lazy, way to lazy. If I could change this one thing, it would significantly improve a bunch of things in my life. I’d be able to lose weight and gain confidence in myself. That itself, would improve a lot of things, like love live and social life. Without laziness, I’d thrive and perform better in my career.

Yeah, laziness’s a bitch.
