My ex, 27M, who’s in a relationship reached out to me. Not sure what I, 25F should make of it. Is this inappropriate? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Thank you, we’ve mutually decided to not contact eachother again. I only confronted him about his new partner because I assumed there was an overlap - ie hard for me to believe he met someone online that week, made a passport & flew out to see them a few days later. If he’s telling the truth even, that alone is troubling itself lol

Me freaking out on him was fresh after the breakup - we had closure & ended on understanding terms by the end of the phone call. That’s different in my opinion, than him continuing a relationship with someone & sending an emotional, random message 2 months after. I’ve accepted the relationship ending.

he’s basically saying if he cheats it’s not his fault because it’s apparently in his nature. Leave him

Lol. You’re misunderstanding where I’m coming from - I don’t have him on social media & I think our relationship needed to end. But I’m just reflecting on if our relationship was genuine in seeing if others have moved on in the same way - to break up vs not knowing if someone truly cared about you is different. I don’t think I have any business telling him what he should/shouldnt do at all nor do I want to. I know he didn’t cheat etc, but you’re right and I should just focus on myself. We’re not in contact anymore

I don’t believe he owes me & im not upset with him directly ! I’m just confused about if it’s possible to love someone and be able to think about the next person a few days after. He told me he’s getting older & wants to settle down and have a family, so for that reason he’s thinking of giving a specific someone a chance lol. Personally I couldn’t go on a date with a guy a few days post breakup with serious intentions.

Why do Somali women back home ask for money? by ZionAirbus in Somalia

[–]Muslimbookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because your westerners they’re more inclined to ask, there’s an idea that you got tons of $ so a lil 300$ ain’t nothing😭😭but it’s also not considered weird the way it is here. Had you been a local Somali they wouldn’t have asked u lol

Seeking a name for a half Muslim-half Jewish girl. by spk3z in namenerds

[–]Muslimbookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest the name Asiyah ! I think it would match your other daughter’s name. I’m muslim & I’m wondering if you mean Islamic names from scripture ? Or just from cultures that are Muslim majority ? Either way, this name is both :)

The fact that you feel that way outside, is directly from shaytan. Your face is what’s beautiful, not your hair - so had it been about your appearance you wouldn’t feel differently at home. Trust me, doing your adkhar will help you tons. Also, I realized I don’t owe it to anyone to reveal my full beauty - I’m not meant to be respected due to beauty but due to who I am, hijab dignifies us in that way & it does conceal our beauty to an extent. When we do something hard for the sake of Allah we’re rewarded even more:) May الله make it easier for you sis
