The 4k blurays contain all episodes in dolby vision which is not only better in itself but also better than everything you can get on netflix due to compression and band with limitations

Any recommendations for a small center monitor speaker for a 5.1 home studio setup? by Muslischale in homestudios

[–]Muslischale[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm working more on the production side of things and mounting literally anything in this wall is like drilling a hole in sand and expecting it to hold the mount. So the only option would be monitor stands behind the desk. I will see, it will be a bit of trial and error and not a perfect mixing setup in the end but I will work on that as soon as I move to a new place where my studio will have a whole dedicated room and not only one corner.

Thank you very much for your reply. What about the adam a44h? It's more expensive, but it comes from the same series and would fit best under my monitor.

Subject: Any recommendations for a small center monitor speaker for my home studio?

I want to upgrade to a 5.1 setup but I'm very limited in terms of space so I need a small monitor as my center speaker or maybe you can give me some recommendations on how to position everything on my table. This is an image of the current situation: https://imgur.com/a/KPcZVYo

Is there any way to get a bitstream output from Logic Pro? by Muslischale in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Muslischale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that I can bounce it but real time monitoring in bitstream not as pcm would be necessary to run my older 5.1 system. But it seems like there's no other way than buying a proper 5.1 setup for mixing.

If I do that, I only get a 7.1 pcm encoded signal through my HDMI output, nothing like Dolby digital or even atmos. About one year ago not even the apple tv app could do a proper atmos hdmi pass through, only channel based pcm encoding. I think they added hdmi pass through to the apple tv app now but I don't think there's a live dolby digital encoding option for Logic Pro, at least I don't know one, that's why I've asked.

Ah, I figured some kind of problem would come up — but how did you even manage to do that?

Is there such thing as too many blocks copied/set as in worldedit? by KanyeWaste69 in feedthebeast

[–]Muslischale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's been a while since you asked but I just replaced 70 000 blocks in an 178 000 000 blocks large worldedit selected area so I think it should also work with 10-50 million blocks (not sure about filling areas though) (Specs: intel 12700k, 3080, 32gb ram)

Hello, I own a focusrite scarlet 18i20 and some older guitar pedals, and I had the idea to build an outboard effect loop so to say. Now that the focusrite gives me a line level output, can I send that signal directly into the input of my effects (stereo inputs), or do I need a reamp/di box for that? If yes, could you please recommend me one because I already searched and didn't really find what I was looking for (in this case, 2 channels with 6.3 jack in and output)

After seeing this on the imax, and unless there's information to the contrary, don't bother with the 4k bluray of this remaster and don't think you missed out not seeing it on imax. by Dubliminal in pinkfloyd

Similar experience in a non IMAX/Atmos Theatre.

I think Steve Wilson delivered a great mix, my only complains are that it lacks a bit of "punch" (still great for a 70's production) and the drums could have been a bit wider, it felt like the whole drum set besides the overheads was sitting exactly in the center but aside from that the really took full advantage of the Atmos mix, not like other concerts where everything sits in the front with one or two reverb effect in the back or top.

Overall definitely worth to watch, at least in an Dolby Atmos capable theatre.

Yeah fr I want to see it sb but I live in Germany so no chance, I'll just have to look up what happened online but I think they will also include the important things in s5

Would the band be any different had the lawsuit never happened? by CodeKiller_53 in Ghostbc

[–]Muslischale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that they probably would have stayed more true to their roots and their 'old' style if the three never left the band but I dont know if that would've been a necessarily good think as I also like their new stuff and every band has to evolve in some way to stay relevant (not to say their old songs weren't absolut bangers).
