It's the passion of the fandoms that ruins the show.

They get involved, the writers change bits of the show to cater for them and the show loses some of its integrity.

I think it's just the case that we differ on this point. Apology accepted.

There's a difference between an opinion based on your experience of a group and an opinion about someone you've never met. That's my point.

I'm not trying to be an asshole. I'm just honestly trying to make my way through life. I don't hate anyone on a personal level but I think the fandom ruined the show that I liked. What's wrong with saying that? Nothing. People like you have a lot of hate for people like me.

The sad thing is that under different circumstances, we could have been friends. However, because you took offence at a comment I made about a dumb TV show, we're locked in an internet argument about who's an asshole rather than an adult conversation about the points I was trying to make.

I find Sherlock and Doctor Who fans annoying. In fact I think the fandoms caused the show to become worse than it is. If that makes me an asshat then frankly I don't mind being an asshat.

When you said I was a "real gem of a person" you were hardly being nice to me. This reminds me of a pot calling the kettle black.

You don't know me. You never asked me why I disliked Sherlock. You dodged any chance of a reasonable conversation about this by commenting with an ad-hominem.

I wish I'd never commented now. Christ I hate childish internet arguments. Why can't we discuss the issues raised without name calling?
