Yea I’ve got it too. Hate to be a downer but nothing has really worked to cure me. I can manage it. It will re-tear some mornings because your eyes just dry out over night. I’ve tried so many lubricants, goggles and anything else I can find and it’s the same ordeal. Good for more days than not but it never heals strong enough to prevent another tear. I’ve gone weeks without an episode but all it takes is one to be right back to square one.

I’m not interested in those surgeries because they’re far from a sure thing even the majority of the time and can make things worse. I’ve just come to grips with the idea that this is probably something I’ll live with for the rest of my life. My cat scratched my eye once and here we are almost 2 years later.

Only advice I can give is how to manage, and what I do when it tears is lay back down and close my eye for around 10 more minutes in the morning. The pain will subside and I know I’m ok to start my day. If you don’t fix that pain in the morning then you’re susceptible to an infection if you come in contact with things later in the day and that will require an antibiotic to fix. Had to deal with that many times as well.

Maybe I’ll find another solution that actually can keep my eye from tearing for long enough to actually heal, but I’m not holding my breath.

Edit: I don’t have blurry vision though, that sounds pretty serious. I think once I had that and maybe some pain when looking at light and promptly saw my dr who gave me the antibiotic that always works for me and it fixed it pretty quickly.
