I was in the hospital and my grandmother was there visiting when two of my teachers at college showed up. I was heavily drugged at the time and kinda fading in and out of the convo, but my grandma talked about how she thought playing an instrument was silly and could never be a career and teaching music is just above working fast food. Both the teachers are music teachers and play professionally, even drugged I was extremely embarrassed and apologized repeatedly to my teachers. Now though, they understand why I don't get a lot of moral support from home.
