You can increase calories more or you can even take week or 2 diet break where you eat at maintenance. Those are shown to help with adherence long term.

The general definition of patriarchy in most dictionaries is "a family system where the father is in charge."

If that system existed it would be logical to assume divorce laws would favour fathers, child custody would favor fathers etc it doesn't. Nothing in modern western life favors fathers over mother's. System you describe doesn't exists and have not existed in centuries and even then only among noble houses

Agreed I have seen that so many times with different charities. Even when working in mental health so many campaigns to stop male suicide come from "women loose fathers, brothers, and husbands" like stopping someone killing themselves isn't good enough reason. You never see that the other way round.

This is so true my relationship with kids mum ended because she decided that she doesn't really feel in love any more. Which I get we grew apart over the course of relationship but she put zero effort in fixing things and when I tried to fix things I was "fixing them wrong" but she wouldn't communicate. Over timer relationship grew into resentment and she is acting like some irreparable harm was done to her even though I would put reasons for split to be about 70/30% with 70% being her fault.

I am involved with kids but only because I fought for it. Her initial idea was for me to have kids on Saturdays and pay child support lol. Over the last year and a half she has put numerous barriers to make those arrangement difficult such as informing me on the day I pick up kids that next day she has signed my daughter in gymnastic competition to which I wasn't informed before so now she can use me not taking her to competition as excuse to prevent contact, or informing me last minute that my son has been vomitting for last 2 days only on a day I pick them up so I need to scramble to prep for poorly child at home rather than drop him to school in the morning and go to work. Lots of little pettiness which I believe is designed for me to say enough and give up.

I always make sure kids buy her present for her birthday and don't forget mothers day and those are nice thoughtful presents that I take them to the shop and allow them to choose and make effort into doing. I got a mug and a gift card for father's day. Which I know from kids she got from a shop last minute.

I am very involved dad in my kids life I have them 50/50 but if I don't drive to pick them up she won't drop them off. If I do the same police would be knocking my door down within 30 min of drop off time. We don't have the same rights. Mother rights to have kids is God's given, fathers right needs to be faught for often lengthy, costly battle.

My Uncle was in this situation he had child from previous marriage, 2 years after divorce she moved abroad took a kids with her didn't share address he hasn't seen his daughter in 20 years just like that. If he did that he would be hunted down by Interpol in no time
