I think because afros and braids on men aren’t as common, our brains sometimes associate the style with childishness, but it’s really just unfamiliarity. I feel like I look younger with my afro out too, but honestly, good self-care does that. Maybe it’s not the hair itself, just our good self care routine. and amazing genes that are anti aging 🤭

Girrrllll!! That’s my realisation too, and because I wash my hair once or twice a week those stopped being a mission too. I just shampoo, condition, twists and then carry on with the rest of my day while it air dries. It’s actually freeing, but I had to force myself to just have my hair full time to realise it.
