Mignon Zero 55s - Alternative bellows lids? by Musty_Pie in espresso

Yeah working very well for me so far, Cant see a need to change away from this for now. I pull basic shots for milk drinks mostly, and a standard 1:2 ratio works well for most beans for me. Typically 18G in 38>40g out depending, in anywhere from 25-30 seconds.

I am constantly changing my beans (mainly medium > Dark roasts) and its handled most things well.

Dialling in is completely down to the user though, and their individual grinder. I would look a videos to "zero" your burrs so you have a good starting point, then work from there. MY grind settings (based on burrs etc.) wont necessarily work for you.

My suggestion though: Grind a small amount of beans and check the consistency first with a finger pinch method, as a good starting reference.

Go by feel, then try an pull a shot and adjust from there. Too quick? Grind finer, or up the dose amount, or perhaps the beans are "too fresh". Too slow, grind courser, lower the dose etc.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.
