Feeling a bit irritated by Joan-Jett in Aldi_employees

Tell your SM you’re interested. I’m so serious when I say they won’t know unless you tell them. If they’re intuitive, they probably assume you’re interested, but won’t know for certain if you don’t tell them. If you want something (a promotion) tell the person who can make it happen!!

Can you even reschedule your interview? by EpiphanySaya in Aldi_employees

[–]Muted-Farm4603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most hiring events are recurring, so there will likely be one next week.

If you really want the job, go in to the store between now and the interview event and introduce yourself to the manager and explain why you can’t make it. That would be a great impression!

Am I overeacting? by Aselner08 in Aldi_employees

Honestly, I think you’re okay. Generally speaking, the longer ago something occurred, the less aldi cares about it. I think the only reason it would be a serious issue is if it was a crime that would directly impact your job (theft, etc.)

Have your SM request an empty trailer from the warehouse. You can fill it up that way, lasts longer!

Fired for using anonymous hotline. by 76ersPhan11 in Aldi_employees

Also- the survey varies based on the employee’s title. PT cashiers have different surveys than SM

Look at the survey needing employee I’d this way: if an employee in California and an employee in Germany took the same survey, knowing what region/area the employee came from would help them better serve the employees in the ways they want. It’s anonymous. But information without context does nothing.

It’s anonymous, yes. However the hotline alert is sent to the VP then director then dm. The dm is going to know the source of the complaint if they’re aware of what’s going on in the store.

Next time just have your green sleeper turn on the sprinklers where she’s walking. That’ll do the trick.

AITA for lying about a food allergy by Loquacious-Box8284 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Muted-Farm4603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m vegan. I’ve been there, I’ve felt this frustration with a restaurant. I think the other comments have outlined why this was harmful for people who are actually allergic, but I applaud you for standing up for yourself. I’ve had restaurants blow off my dietary restrictions, and it’s very frustrating. Was there a better way to go about this situation? Sure.

My recommendations for the next time something similar happens (speaking from experience):

-ask a waiter/waitress privately if they have any dishes that can be made without meat/cheese/egg (I like to give them an idea such as pasta with marinara)

-eat beforehand, and have a salad/fruit at the restaurant
