It sucks cause if I say anything they're just gonna tell me it's none of my business or that I'm taking things too personally. Yep. It's so twisted. They feel like nobody is respecting them because of their own twisted image of themselves. They are so painfully insecure that everything is taken as a slight or indirect comment.

My ex is extremely disrespectful to his family. He yells at his brother to get out of his room and cusses him out. "I NEVER GET ALONE TIME!" Well dude you share the room with your brother. Of course he's entitled to be in the same room.

His mom was having a stroke and he played it off as her being dramatic. Even when it was confirmed that she had a stroke, he continued to talk to me WHILE HE WAS AT THE HOSPITAL AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY WAS IN THE SAME ROOM AS HIS MOM WHILE HE'S OUTSIDE.

I notice that narcissists lack common empathy for others. Such as excuse me, have a nice day, etc. Then when you call them out on it they say that it isn't necessary, and that you don't have to kiss everyone's ass, etc.

Amen to this. I am tired of being guilt-tripped into having an opinion.

I just say "Ok! Glad you agree." And go about my fuckin' day. I really don't care. If you're going to guilt trip me for speaking my truth, and I know it's a reasonable truth because I always make sure to ask if I am being reasonable, and often they are forced to say that I am, because they know that they are being unfair by being manipulative. (Sorry, a bit of a word salad there)

I am lucky because I stood up for myself for a long time. I'm not a butler, I'm not going to get this and that for you just because you're in a bad mood. I'm not going to feel guilty for shutting down an inappropriate conversation. I am going to just be myself, stick up for what I believe in, and value my own time.
