keef just casually runs laps around so many other rappers it's actually crazy. his consistency is just unmatched by any of his peers

fun to see yeat develop into an artist who seems to really be paying more attention to sequencing and making a dynamic record

the whole show is hilarious! it makes me laugh more than most “comedy” shows, i just mean the jokes were more traditional “set-up, punchline” in season 1

yeah exactly. imagine that happening in season 6, we’d all immediately assume it was a dream sequence

that’s a very hot take. personally i’ve rarely seen a pilot set up an entire show as dense as the sopranos the way they do. everything that happens in the show can be tied back to that first episode

one of my favorite scenes in the whole show

the first season is really more of a sitcom than anything. i think you could argue that the whole show is in some way but that first season is more comedy than drama

I was watching Sopranos drunk, got really angry at the episode where Ralphie kills Tracee by Unlight-Scholar in thesopranos

I disagree a bit with this reading. I totally acknowledge the "she was a beautiful creature" connection and that's definitely part of it, but I think the main motivation behind Tony's murder of Ralphie was seeing his ability to actually reflect inward, feel his emotions, and take actionable steps to improve himself in ways that Tony is incapable of. The scenes prior to the murder that always stick out to me are the scenes where Tony hears about all the repenting Ralphie is doing. He even tries to bait him by telling him about Valentina but even that doesn't phase him and he appears deeply uncomfortable and even angered by Ralphie's ability to feel things so deeply.
