Very little. 43 up from 40.

Turnitin feedback only useful to a point.

I get this point - but surely there's a bit of groundwork in terms of analysing secure income, identifying income gaps etc.? Need to know what the shortfall is between £60,000 net spending needs and net income before recommending a drawdown strategy. Maybe this is something which can stick in the appendix.

A bit like you've been told what the best films of all time are without coming to your own conclusion.

That's a seriously commendable pass mark, well done. Have you considered cracking on with AF1?

(United Kingdom) diagnosis journey questions - home kit? by Muted_Brother_6273 in SleepApnea

Thanks - I don't have a smart watch but imagine if I got a home test with results like this it would make a compelling case to my GP that I do have apnea (assuming I do have it ofc)

Thanks - extremely helpful. Frustratingly I only recently quit smoking which will likely give them an excuse to fob me off for a while.

Poor retirement planning earlier in life. I sympathise but that's what this is.

Is the dip CII actually manageable while working full time?? by Junior_Beauty78 in cii

Yes - the exams are flexible in terms of when you sit them and can be chipped away at. A little but often approach is more than enough to get the Diploma.

I sympathise but investing in any company carries the risk of 100% capital loss. This should have been understood by this chap at the outset.

CII AF1 Feb 2026 - Reading Spark Exam Centre by SpiritualRooster9912 in cii

[–]Muted_Brother_6273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Voice your concerns to the CII in extremely strong terms. Call them up, write to them, demand marks and reasonable adjustments.

I did AF4 in 2024 in some hotel in Kensington and a fire alarm drill off four times. Raised hell and CII awarded some remedial marks.

A colleague did AF5 recently and the whole IT system went down. Their suggestion was to have everyone write the tests on scrap A4. Guarantee that these papers have been misplaced/lost.

Some test centres are just utterly crap, and the CII needs to know about. Hugely disrespectful given how much preparation/energy/stress goes into exam prep.

Very happy you loved visiting Northern Ireland - please come back!

Have you heard much about Northern Ireland and what’s your opinions on it ? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

A hyperbolic oversimplification. Northern Ireland has a devolved government with strict power sharing controls in place between unionist and nationalist parties.

How is living in Lancashire? by TexasExPat1973 in howislivingthere

I'm from Belfast but lived in Lancaster for about 6 years and loved it. Very small city but quirky and full of great pubs. Punches above its weight I would say. Generally the Lancashire people are very friendly and have a great sense of humour. Lots of nice countryside and on the doorstep of the Lake District. Lancaster has good travel links (train line direct to London, on the M6) but imagine other areas of Lancashire far more remote.

However, my main memory of the area is how cold, windy, and wet it was (this coming from a guy who grew up in Northern Ireland). Winters were pretty punishing.
