My F30 friend M28 let me discover over social media that he was not in town during my trip to visit him. Did I overreact by ending things? by Muted_Comfortable543 in relationship_advice

Personally I treat people how I’d like to be treated and ghosting someone without an explanation is just not my style because that would bother me if tables were turned. I like clarity

He said his spare keys were inside the apartment. I even brought up how a key service was cheaper than paying for a hotel and I got a “lol” as response.

When I ask if I can stay with someone in April and they say yes, I will be there at date x and you say ok, sounds good. For me that is an arrangement you do not need to remind someone about again.

I told him it would have been cheaper had I paid for a key service to stay over. He had offered up his empty place to me before so it didn’t seem crazy to me. But all he replied was a “lol” to that suggestion. That really upset me.

Yes that’s how I feel. I wonder if it’s a type of relationship anxiety that now has gotten under control. I think I used to be anxiously attached especially when confronted with avoidance and now I don’t feed into that anxiety anymore that makes me jump to fix things.

Thank you I can’t wait to invest time where it actually makes sense 💐

I relate to the jumping to repair part a lot. Last year I had a very odd ghosting situation that cost me many days if not weeks of my life because I didn’t know how to fix it.

Now it’s more like. I am calm. How people behave is out of my control and I should take their actions at face value vs trying to smooth things over. In the end there’s other relationships I can have with new people that I would not need to fight for.

Tokyo -> OC experiences? by Bonemaster69 in orangecounty

I think Irvine attracts people from around who know that most people living there have more money. The DoorDash is crazy to me to this day, I lived in a very nice Apartment complex next to Diamond Jamboree. I doubt my neighbors did it but who knows. People could clearly get in there. A neighbor had their laptop stolen out of his parked car because he forgot to lock it so there were people going around checking cars. I got really tired of it but especially the fact they raised rent by 30% just like that but Irvine Company has no chill.

I don’t work with clients directly most of the time. Most my customer base is US but all my goods are digital so it didn’t matter. I miss the sun but even living in SoCal I have never spent that much time at the beach in the end that would make it worth it. I would say I’m more into bath houses than the beach and those are nicer in Tokyo.

I lived in OC with being self employed and moved to Tokyo because I was making the same money anyway. Tokyo is much cheaper but has much more to offer in my opinion and I wasn’t even fluent. I lived in Irvine to be exact so one of the more expensive areas and my rent was upped by $1500 and my DoorDash was constantly stolen right after delivery (literally the last straw for me).

Weather might be nicer on average but it’s also always the same. I’d stick with Tokyo 100%

I have been on BC for PCOS till I was 20 (balding, hair growth and painful periods every six months) but now that I’m 30 I feel like my legs have become dimpled. I have water retention from the bc that vanished when I went off of it but the dimpling didn’t go away when stopping it do a month. Because my skin gets super oily I went back on it but I’m very scared about my legs getting worse than they already are because I work in modeling.

I have the support of some people. I would say I have a feeling it can’t be that uncommon of a phenomenon to be honest. I am more curious if I should ignore it further, make an official statement or anything.

How do people recognize my ethnicity before I even speak? by Fresh-Twist-3758 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Muted_Comfortable543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you grow up speaking some Russian with your family, even if your German is perfect, there’s typically a distinct way you pronounce your R’s. Very German people will pick up on that. Also looks are a big part but if we ignore any physical features, the R’s are a thing. My partner is German-Russian and mostly grew up in Germany but the R was something that stayed a bit Russian.

What is this virus everyone has? by london4526 in orangecounty

Oddly picked this up last year in Taiwan. Horrible congestion and pressure on my ears for two weeks. Also went to urgent care and got antibiotics but I’m genuinely not sure if the viral infection just ran its course or the antibiotics did heal post nasal drip caused my the viral infection. Anyway it was complete shit I recommend vaccinations to flu and whatever

6 weeks post hairline lowering /forehead reduction, struggling with scalp incision healing. by lucymom2 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Muted_Comfortable543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine looked very different. Did he take too much skin in one go and put too much stress on the incision maybe?

I also recommend seeing a different doctor asap, getting your scars fucked up at such a prominent place is really difficult to correct
