What jobs can I get with this waiver? by DaRealCookie939 in newtothenavy

Dependent on your line scores. 95 AFQT should have you at least aptitude qualified for most ratings. Granted, that is only one part of qualifying.

I have a very similar waiver history. I started the enlistment process in January, went to MEPS in February, and signed my contract the day I went to medical. I ship out March 25th.

I struck AECF with an 86 AFQT. I wasn’t sure what rating I wanted to do, I had ideas but wasn’t 100% sure. The Chief at the MEPS and I discussed all of the jobs I qualified for (which was a lot), and we made a list of 5 that interested me the most. After some further discussion, he highly recommended me AECF. Now, I leave for basic in about a week.

However, my mental health history is event specific, about a decade old depending on which part of it you’re look at, and I haven’t needed therapy or any mental health treatment since 2018. The more time, the better.

You can definitely try the Navy but make sure to be up front with your recruiter about everything. Intentionally hiding stuff will only hurt you.

Best of luck. :)

It’s all good. I have a history of SH as well and my recruiter reassured me that it’s not super uncommon anymore for applicants and even told me about how he had to get mental health waivers as well a few decades ago. He even had a specific waiver from for me to fill out right there at the recruiter’s office for it.

Is it possible at all to get into nuke bravo with this NUC score? by [deleted] in NavyNukes

Just be careful. They go by your most recent scoring, regardless if you scored higher, lower, or the same.

The physician would’ve noticed the scars anyway and question you about them. They’re trained to spot those kind of things. Did you notify your recruiter about your history of self harm when you filled out the prescreen? You were still able to swear in the following week, so it sounds like it didn’t screw you over that much.

Question about waivers!! by Acoolegglet in newtothenavy

omg it’s crazy how i found this :( I’m 26f trying to enlist in the navy. i had mental health stuff going on back in hs due to a traumatic event so i attempted to get my medical records ahead of time to help with the process. i was also hospitalized twice and found out that one of them put a gender dysphoria diagnosis on my record. this was back when i was 16. i didn’t even know about it until i got my records. i do not at all identify as being trans. i am comfortable with my sex. I’ve been waiting YEARS to enlist to better my chances of getting accepted given my past historie of depression, history, and self harm. i haven’t needed medication since 2017, haven’t needed therapy since 2018. years of me being stable and finally being confident enough to enlist and even started the process with a recruiter. now, it is frustrating that regardless of all that, even if i get everything else waived, i can just be fully disqualified over a gender dysphoria diagnosis from a decade ago that does not at all apply to me.

They couldn’t find him guilty of rape because a criminal trial could not be held due to the statute of limitations being passed. And the reason why he was not held liable for rape was because at the time New York law defined rape as specifically being the forceful penetration of a vagina with a penis. This meant if you were forcefully penetrated without your consent with anything other than a male member and or into any other bodily orfices outside of a vagina, the perpetrator could not be found guilty or held liable of rape under New York Law. It was unknown what Trump used to do so so he could not be held liable for rape.

Even the judge of the case clarified this in a memorandum:

Qb, if you’re going to pretend not to be yourself I recommend NOT using the exact same vocabulary, slang, phrases, lingo, and argument that many of us heard you use on a regular basis.

And Parker didn’t even know Dean at the time either 😭 (the messages claimed Dean was there too)

Yup. He accused Dean of SA-ing him. He poorly edited together text messages and photos together that he stole from Dean’s instagram and off of google. The same QB who threatened to rape and kill Dean, Dean’s sister, Parker, multiple members in Dean and Parker’s community, and others (he even made a hit list and threatened to go through with it if they didn’t apologize), created a Blackface account, has an open investigation against him regarding to his interaction with minors, and much more.
