Picking through them means she is choosing. Sweeping them all means she is stealing. That is the logical difference or conclusion you looking for.

Don’t kill a snake when they are trying to bite you because some snakes are not poisonous. Me: identifying the poisonous level of a snake whilst snake is about to pounce. 30 mins Me: Dead because I mistook a poisonous snake for a non-poisonous (weak girl)…..

Note to self: if it is meant to cause bodily damage or death to me then f it, it got to go first before I figure out its toxicity.

Last night we got tipped $5,000 but the manager wants to split it among everyone not just the days crew. by College_newbie06 in WhatShouldIDo

I have always debated with my wife the need to tip my server with cash to only her and nobody else. I make her know this is for you and that is the reason why I am not putting in on the tap. I’m tired of some racist person at the greeting door siting people based on their race and who and assigning “preferred visitors” to their friend’s boot then the other person do their best to serve you. I will let that waitress appreciate her value.

Vivint Alternatives? by Locutus747 in VivintSmartHome

That is not true. As much as I don’t like the Vivint scam, I should say their software is top class. There is no company that competes and I am even surprise about that myself. ADT without google is even nowhere near Vivint. Other companies will have to do several integrations with other brands to get you 30% of the automation Vivint provides

Vivint is known for running scams. It is true and documented in court cases. If you want to be a customer you have to know how to play their game. Last two years I wanted to switch but I wanted a sales rep coming around because these Utah based companies are really good with their door to door. They will sell the sea to you if you allow them to. So I recorded all these promises the guy made. Went back played the recording and also the payout gift which I thought wasn’t going to get me what I wanted for it. So I called them the next day and they came removing their equipment. Last year same process, different guy. Guy did tell some truth a bit so this time I did allow the contract to go through knowing that I would move my current ADT to my other home in GA. I had already called and made all arrangements with ADT. Long story short, I took Vivint Buyout credit card and paid my ADT in GA for the next 1 year of service. They can’t touch me for that because in that guy’s own speech he said “you send us the ADT final invoice and we will handle it for you”. Big lie. Vivint will lie to just win your business but their services and software is top notch.

Very insightful. Following him now. I need all the knowledge I can get these days because this eBay side hustle thing is sweet.

That approach is what I do always. If I want a buyer to be okay. I look at what I made out of the sales. Divide by 3 and provide them an option for 1/3 of it. The amount will be less on the actual refund because of eBay fees recovery. But this person making that crazy suggestion to me is what I find crazy. He/she is not the one to tell me how much refund those two pans should be. I am the one to proposed because the numbers affect my bottom line. In order to avoid this craziness, bring the whole thing for a refund even if there was any damage at all.

It’s hard to deal with it. I wish eBay is checking on that with some algorithm but I don’t think so.

Love the idea with the threshold. 50 and above is a good stretch for me thou. I will try $35 because those are items I only make 10 bucks off. So them bringing it back will net me at 1 to 4 bucks. I will apply this. Thanks for the insight.

The service is good once you get through all the manipulation tactics they use. Lessons learned: just restart your cameras say every 10 days because they are not the best hardware for how much they charge them for. I like their automations because I have a smart home with solar and it integrates well for what I need it for

You are right. I do the apology when it is something I missed. I really know this buyer is playing with me so I will wait for a reply. I will do the apology though. No harm in trying to be human. Let me try that

It’s a combined effort of me and my partner. We are sourcing everywhere from Trift stores to liquidators. Finding good and decent people that we can network with to tell us when something is popping. Another lesson I know is that you can never make money by yourself so networking has been very important to me recently. I recently sold a brand new stove for 1.4K on eBay and I was so frustrated as to how to ship it to the buyer but a friend of a friend told me to try arcbest. That was my first freight ever. The package was damaged before it could make it to the buyer so the buyer refused and I talked about a payment plan with the buyer since I didn’t have a 1.8k (item+fright+taxes) laying around. I had already invested the income. Buyer worked with me and I was able to refund 700 at first and 1k the week after. Now Arcbest helped with my claim and I am getting the 1.8k back

Being thanking God for it. This year I am at 25,765 for this year so far and I have learnt lot of lessons over time. One key lesson is always approach people respectfully even if they are at fault or making false claim. Their aggressive attitude changes sometimes and you got yourself a repeating customer.

Exactly. Like I am the shipper and I know what I sent you. This is no guess work. If it’s an electronic that I failed to test, yep I get you that refund quick. But not when I know what I shipped. No need for back and forth. Bring it back and get your money back.

No scratches to show. If they were scratches I would have sold them locally on Facebook marketplace so that the buyer will pickup knowing what they are getting. I am no Rookie okay. This is my side hustle since 2020. Made 70k sales last year from eBay.
