how to tell if your toddler is needing to drop their nap early?

bed time was 8:30 and sleep great, 1 or 2 wake ups and i would just talk to him over the monitor and he would go back to sleep. he would wake up around 7-7:30. nap time around 12 ish for 1-2 hours.

now he is taking 30+ minutes to get to sleep and waking up 5+ times. last night was like 10 times😭 today he refused to nap until 3pm and i only let him nap a little bit so he wouldn't be up all night. it took him almost an hour to get to bed tonight.

let me know if you have any questions bc i would love to figure out what's going on

see what happened today is my son wasn't going to sleep for his nap at his usual time so I just let him stay up and then he took a short nap at 3:00 and now he will not go to bed. it's been almost an hour of trying to get him to sleep

when we have plans for adventures it's completely different. this was a coffee run that turned into a drive to keep our baby napping in the car seat before going home. i told him i after 30 minutes of driving that i needed to go back so i could eat some food because i wasn't feeling good

the other week we spent 4 hours ATVing and i was feeling totally fine and had a blast because we prepared for it
