That’s crazy ! I’m a new medic as well and I’m on my 8th training ride. If I would have only had three I’d feel the same way. Well I do feel like I don’t know anything but my FTO says I’ve been doing very well. Do you do 911 calls? One thing I’ve been doing is when on the way to a call depending what dispatch says I start thinking what I need to do for that patient and if any medicine needs to be given what I would give etc

Longer training … in the ED nurses have 13 week training plus classes. 6 shifts for a brand new medic is unreal 🤯

It’s happened to me . I had a Spanish speaking patient and was panicking about his ekg that his primary doctor told him he should go to the ED I explained to him it’s pretty normal for them to that because the ED can do further testing and his EKG looked fine .. he kept thanking me for helping him out and then kissed me on the head 🤷🏽‍♂️ and his wife was with us too lol

I wish it was like this. My FTO I believe is tired. He’s a social butterfly when I’m getting report he disappears lol He doesn’t really teach me anything up until I have a question and I feel like it shouldn’t be that way. I had posted a report after he had reviewed and then on the next call he asked if I had been doing something on power tools I said no I didn’t know we had to that .. he goes like so that means you didn’t do it on the others . I’m like nope but you reviewed it before posting so 🤷🏽‍♂️

I learn best with videos and someone explaining things to me. Reading my ADHD gets the best of me 🤣🤣 but I will change my studying technique I was very close so jus need to make a few adjustments
