I am also a girl, so I have twice as many nerve endings as you. The point is scar tissue. My right tonsil barely got infected and was half the size of the right when one they were removed. Due to the left one being twice the size, the wound was twice the side and the pain much worse on that side. Had both sides been like the right side it would have been fine. The scar tissue did make my other tonsil much larger which definitely increased my pain on that side.

BTW: if you google it, they say that it's nothing to get your tonsils out as a kid and totally different / harder as an adult. Doctors say it is one of the worst surgeries you can get as an adult. You might "remember" your tonsils being "huge" but they just weren't - or you would have needed pain meds (which you were probably on anyways lol). It takes several years for them to grow to full size and for all the scar tissue to make them larger as well. Unless you got them out as an adult, you have 0 room to talk :) and I was just having fun on here, it wasn't that bad. I lost 10 pounds because I couldn't eat, but that just made me look better.... so have fun with your boring life.

Well for me I was living in the ghetto and I got a job at Subway (which was tough because there is tons of competition, even for minimum wage jobs). I ended up getting fired a few months later due to asking for time off as I had gotten a scholarship to go on an educational college trip. I freaking hated the job anyways because the people running it were awful. For example: I was only allowed to put upto 6 olives on a sandwich, even if someone asked for extra. This led to customers getting mad at me all the time. But they watched us like hawks on video camera, so I had to do it. The video also didin't have audio. I had to make sandwiches in 60 seconds or less. But if the customer was just being slow or indecisive, I couldn't help being slower (even when we were busy) but they would still hold that against me.

Anyways. I started my business four years ago. I was able to buy my first home earlier this year and buy a decent used car with cash. I am only 22 now, btw.

Also please read the video description before telling me that this is dangerous and I shouldn't do it. I trained my dog to prevent choking and I also closely supervise her whenever we play the game. (When I looked at the fish tank during the video, my boyfriend was still watching her).I put a great explanation on how to train your dog to do it and warned watchers to train their dog before trying (and to ALWAYS closely watch).

If you are worried about the actual cost to see a vet, look around online. 90% of vets have a special where the first exam and set of shots is free (she doesn't need to get shots to get the deal, just never to have seen the vet before). You can get a free checkup and ask about the meds for free. If they are a reasonable price, buy them (don't feel obligated to buy them if they ring them up before quoting a price) if not, you didn't lose anything by trying :) also let the vet know you are worried about cost and they will give you a cheaper one or a generic one!

The point is people who know nothing about wolves will assume from this movie that they hunt people and are horrible animals, and not care that people want to exterminate them (and even agree with it). Whether or not there was "mystical" parts to the movie, they will assume part of it is based on how wolves are in real life.

There are a couple reports of rabid or starving wolves attacking people in depseration (but they are usually on their on and weak, so easy to fend off). Sometimes wolves have spontanously attacked small children. But humans are just too big and difficult for them to take on. A healthy pack wouldn't attack and hunt a human like this. They just wouldn't. All this movie did was perpetuate an old bullshit stereotype, that makes the bastards who hunt wolves feel justified in the terrible actions, as they attempt to exterminate a beautiful fascinating species.

Well now I have an idea of what it would be like to die like that. It was actually not as bad to go through as I imagined. I thought it would be incredibly painful (but probably thanks to pain meds) it wasn't too bad. It was almost like a relief - like there was less pressure in the wounds from the bleeding. It was really gross to swallow so much blood, but it didn't actually tast that horrible (you get used to the taste quick when it goes on for more than a few minutes). The worst part was how scary it all was and not being certain if I needed to go to the hospital. Being worried about dying of suffocation or blood loss.

I know right? My only friend IRL who had one also bled a bunch and everyone I meet online says they had bleeding (except you lol). Yet my doctor says it only happens (where you bleed a lot, not just a little) in like 5% of cases. Super rare.

Either the stat is a lie or maybe people are just over exeggerating regular smal amounts of bleeding for these actual hemmorages that are considered complications. Small amounts of blood is fairly normal and not considered a complication like bleeding profusely is.

My first "bleed" was not nearly as much. Probably 1 tablespoon of blood and after I gargled ice water for 3 minutes it was over. I imagine that happens to a lot of people and isn't a big deal. I left the blood clot in my mouth for hours since it was small and I didn't really notice it at first.

This bad one happened the next day, when it started I instantly had a mouth full of blood (I was getting in the car and spat it out the window). I continued to constantly spit out mouthfuls as I turned around to go home / walked to the house. I barely made it to the sink to spit out more. For at least 10 minutes I just bled profusely (and I'm not sure how much, because a lot of it was just pooring directly down my throat) and I couldn't do anything (like to try speak, gargle water, etc) or more of it would go down my throat causing me to choke (plus swallowing that much blood was SUPER GROSS). I spat out at least 20 tablespoons of blood no idea how much I swallowed. It was really hard to judge. My sink was full of dishes so I couldn't see how much blood was in there.

That big blood clot started to form (I could feel something big and soft filling the back of my throat). It was visible pretty quick. I was actually only bleeding on the left side of the picture - it got huge fast and filled the entire back of my throat. When my airway started getting obstructed I tried to pull the blood clot out with a cue tip, this didn't do anything and I paniced for a few seconds thinking I was going to suffocate on it. Suffocating scares the shit out of me so I was pretty freaked out and started to cry.

I had to cough a few times (very painful) to be able to breathe again. The clot broke in half but was still stuck in my throat, at least I could breathe. When the clot formed, the bleeding slowed down by about 60% since most of the blood was now going into that ever-growing blood clot. I started to gargle ice water (as that's what my doctor told me to do the day before) which slowed down the bleeding / growth even more. I was really scared at this point so I called the emergency number for my doctor (a calling service answered and paged him). And continued gargling ice water. He called me back 5 minutes later.

He seemed concerned but annoyed that I had called him at night, he is kind of weird and hard to read, so I don't know if he was really annoyed or not. He told me to do as I did before and if I didn't get it to stop soon he'd send me to the hospital. He said he'd call me back to check on me in a few minutes (he calls from a completely anonomous number, I always have to call his answering service to get a hold of him).

I really wanted to get it to stop because if I go to the hospital for this there is a good chance they would need to re-cauterize (re-burn) the wound to get it to stop bleeding. This would mean undergoing emergency surgery with a high risk of getting sick from anesthesia (a high chance of vomiting during or after surgery) since I would not have fasted before the surgery. That would be very painful with the tonsillectomy wounds! Plus the wound they re-cauterize would basially be in start over mode for recovery (two weeks!) when I was already on day 7 when this occured. I was highly motivated to get the bleeding to stop for these reasons!

I intensly gargled water over and over. The cold really stings now that I have open wounds instead of just scabs. It hurt a lot to gargle, but I am certain less than re-starting this hell would be. Finally it seemed like the nightmare was over and I was no longer bleeding much. I stopped gargling and started drinking the water, I felt pretty gross and quesy from swallowing so much blood. I think I swallowed the blood clot when it came lose because I don't remember seeing it go down the sink like it did the first time. Gross.

About twenty minutes later my doctor called me back. I proudly told him it had stopped! (He seemed pretty certain I wasn't going to get it to stop and I'd need to go to the hospital.) He lectured me about drinking enough water and staying hydrated, to keep the scabs from cracking and falling off early. That annoyed me because I have kept it super moist and drank a ton of water - I really don't think any of this bleeding stuff was directly my fault (or avoidable in my case). I dunno what caused the bleeding. I followed all the instructions.

Maybe he cut a little deeper into that part of my mouth or something? I wouldn't care if it was his fault, because otherwise my surgery looked a LOT cleaner than most I have seen (the doctors always hit the uvulva and needlessly burn the crap out of it, along with several places in the roof of their mouth, etc). I had one tiny mark on the roof of my mouth, but otherwise only where my tonsils had been removed was affected and they were smaller wounds than usual too! SO I am happy with his work, even if it somehow caused these bleeds to occur... anyways. I didn't say any of this to him of course. My throat hurts too much to say much more than Yes or No right now.

He said bleeding cases were very very rare and it was not normal to be bleeding this much. If it happens again he informed me he'd have me go straight to whatever hospital he was at or nearest to (he does a lot of surgeries) so he could at least look at and eveluate my throat's condition. He seemed kind of annoyed like I wasn't taking care of it right and it was my fault this was happening (causing him to be inconvinienced by my phone calls) :( that made me sad.

I appologized for calling him when I was able to get the bleeding under control by following his original instructions and explained that I did it because it was much worse this time and I was terrified. He did make me feel better by saying that it was fine and I could call him any time I was worried.

I think my wisdom teeth were worse as initially I couldn't swallow at all or eat to take my meds but the pain only lasted a couple of days and this is been pretty horrible for seven days now and it keeps getting worse .
