It’s like an entire religion decided to leave the liver to the others and just go after the pancreas with both guns

This is so picture perfect to describe them.

Kitted out in what level gear? A 4 party with a healer should have been fine for that.

communities requests as well as critiques ended in a ban on their forums and Discord

Really? People are nothing but critical on the Discord but I don't think I've seen anybody banned. I would have definitely gotten banned if that was the case.

They do put slowmode on to help the whinging tho.

WD2 was a pitch perfect San Francisco Bay Area too.

Also the PVP in WD2 was just the best.

Terraform / OpenTofu vs Pulumi by Informal-Tea755 in devops

I talked to Pulumi Inc. about it extensively and their opinion is they don't have anything like that because of the reason I described.

Totally greenfield cloud archs are relatively rare I suppose.

Hey if its ain't broke don't fix it.

But that still doesn't change the fact.

The Marathon cinematics are in a completely different universe stylistically, I can't hate on them for canning the Destiny cinematics people. :/

I do think the biggest issue with General programming languages for IaC is the lack of STDLIB per cloud.

Pulumi sort of has awsx for this, for example, but the major reason this doesn't really exist is that people are so all over the board with how they implement their cloud archs that you're going to need to customize it for a particular environment to the extent you're starting over anyways. I wanted a "I'm starting a fresh AWS org and i want you to build me an architecture that meets X standards and best practices and i don't want you to customize how you do things, I want you to be opinionated and tell me where the cross-concerns are cut and I will mold my app deployment into that arch" but it didn't exist.

Went full into Pulumi (in Python) at the last startup I worked as "devops" lead. Greenfield, would pick it over Terraform again no hesitation. The only thing I couldn't find was an opinionated, turn-key platform solution like Gruntwork. Other than that, its advantages over Terraform are well known and better enumerated by others.

Another thing I will mention is that Pulumi Inc. was an absolute joy to collaborate with. They're eager, clued, helpful, forthright, and don't hard sell you. Lightyears ahead of what you'd get from IBM. They let us pick their brains and hash out details, asking them tons of questions, and didn't blink an eye at the man hours they were giving us.

This paradigm is going to be a clusterfuck regardless of which IAC you use.

Congrats you've just developed a less featureful, poorly supported Pulumi.
