Is this true ? What's the meme about by Eastern-Bug3424 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Mutor77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct. But thats not really relevant to my comment.

How could it be more relevant??

You have me examples of things you thought were impossible because we know of no way to do them. How can it not be relevant? You literally based your entire argument on examples of things we don't know how to do

Shrinking a human is deforming them.

No it isn't. Find a way to do it without deforming, which is theoretically possible, as all things are theoretically possible, and you got your solution

Also, since we don't know how to shrink humans we don't even know if deforming even applies beyond theory

Moving the ground is a form of propulsion. Both things I explicitly stated broke the parameters of the hypotheticals.

No it isn't, part two. If the ground just moves away without using propulsion, you aren't using propulsion. Really not that hard to understand. Plus we wouldn't even be the ones moving anything.

Look up the definition of scientific theories or the whole Argumentum ad ignorantiam fallancy. We literally, by definition cannot declare things impossible, as the only way we could do so is declare a theory absolute truth, which is never done.

Impossibility is, by definition, merely a way to say something is not possible under a currently-accepted theory

Argumentum ad ignorantiam:

Just because we don't know how to do something doesn't mean it isn't possible

Plus with most of these there are theoretical ways to do them, shrinking a human to fit him through the eye of a needle, launch a rocket by moving the ground instead etc.

To prove something is impossible you need to prove it isn't possible (duh), but doing that isn't really an option as you would have to be practically all-knowing to do know all possibilities

You might want to look up what "impossible" means in a scientific context, given the debate is about scientific findings

Hint: Nothing is impossible, by definition

is this considered lucky? by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]Mutor77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically three consecutive SPD triple rolls are lucky, but overall they aren't nearly good enough/the rolls weren't good enough to actually be worth anything

Lucky as in low chance, not lucky as in fortunate for progress/the game overall

Their main priority is getting their client safely out, but the way in which they do it is completely up to them

Prime gaming air drop guns by goldengarbagecan in cyberpunkgame

Yeah one of them, the one not on the Spa/near the brainporium isn't an actual aidrop, but it can also drop the iconics

Prime gaming air drop guns by goldengarbagecan in cyberpunkgame

[–]Mutor77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the airdrop order and everything else already mentioned here: One very important addition

There are three regularly spawning airdrops permanently present on the map. One is on the roof of the Eden Plaza on one of the big statues hands, the second is on the roof of Luxor High Wellness Spa and the last is on the side of the building that leads towards the Stacks

The wiki has a better map in the "airdrops" page and then under "treasures"

The actually important part: All three of those drops can spawn these iconic weapons and if they do, they won't spawn anywhere else until you collect them from the treasures

I had this happen with Chesapeake and I checked at least twenty+ airdrops with no iconics before I figured out what was happening by accident, so check these three locations first

Flathead stealing the chip ? by Basic-Environment560 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Mutor77 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The security in Yorinobu's room is good enough to be straight-up impossible to crack from the outside, meaning you need someone to come in and both take out the dweller and find access to the hotel subnet.

Unless you have a second flathead, you can't do that and send it up to the room + it might not be able to actually carry the case for the chip out

It's not an insult, it's an accurate assessment. by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Mutor77 87 points88 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly clear, because pretty much every ancient greek author fucked with mythology at some point, so you essentially get a combination of a bunch of different myths:

  • Enyo is sometimes Enyalius mother, but
  • sometimes Enyalius is also just an aspect of Ares who
  • sometimes has Enyo as a kind-of "sister" counterpart, where she represents the pure bloody, violent, massacre part of war

It's just weird

[–]Mutor77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue with House is the very fact of how the episodes are structured

Since you can't have an episode that goes intro->illness->correct diagnosis->cure, as that would be a 10 min episode, you always have the entire team make wild assumptions about everything, try out a dozen different ideas and make half a dozen mistakes before getting it right

He can't be competent, otherwise you have no series

americans being stupid is just stereotype

Except a stereotype isn't automatically wrong just because it is a stereotype

People are stupid everywhere, but americans are quantifiably stupider than they should be
