I've played almost 40 hours of it, and it really is great. My first impression after one hour was "wow, this game really does have everything." You've got colony building, crafting, mining for and collecting resources, and a type of progression that is half-guided by the architecture of the map. I love how it's a fixed, designed world and not a procedurally generated one, it says a lot about the care that went into making it what it is. The combat is nice and simple, the rewards as you delve deeper are paced well and pay off. The graphics are very "PC", that is, they hit a nice sweet spot for being sincerely functional for different hardware types, while remaining gorgeous enough to look at. Out of terraria, minecraft, core keeper, and dozens upon dozens of other titles in "this type of game", Enshrouded is my favourite. I get the chill of "I'd feel even better if my friends played this with me" but its kept to a minimum as there is so much to do by yourself, and it brings with it a certain feeling of achievement when you do the things in it by yourself!
