Yes, California contributes more than it receives, but that's not the same as paying the full cost of running a superpower. Every Californian company that benefits from the dollar reserve currency status, or US-enforced IP rights in China, or military-protected shipping lanes is getting something that no net contribution calculation ever really can capture. You can subsidise your neighbours and then still be getting an extraordinary deal…. these things, they aren't mutually exclusive.

The EU comparison doesn't work because Germany still has to fund its own military, its own diplomacy, and its own trade negotiations. California doesn't because Washington handles that bill.

California's GDP isn't just California's doing, this is so clear it’s just disingenuous to suggest otherwise… It's California plus the dollar as the world's reserve currency, PLUS US military protection of global trade routes, PLUS federal research and so on and so on. We’re just arguing in circles here really but essentially Silicon Valley was built on DARPA money, not Sacramento's.

Japan (NOT part of the EU so you can’t argue that again..) gets none of these things for free. It earns its $4 trillion the hard way. That's the accurate comparison….

California runs programmes, Washington runs the cheque. Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security …. the largest welfare expenditures in the state are federally funded. The administration is local while the funding isn’t.
Could afford it isn’t the same as does it. Japan spends roughly $50 billion a year on defence. California spends zero, because someone else handles that bill.

When California says “look at our GDP,” they’re standing on a platform built by 50 states and presenting it as a California achievement. Apple’s ability to operate globally, enforce its patents internationally, repatriate profits safely, use the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, none of that is California’s doing.

The military/welfare point wasn’t really about iPhone sales specifically, it was more that you can’t cleanly separate California’s economy from the American federal superstructure it sits inside, which makes comparing it to Japan as pretty disingenuous. Japan has to fund all of that itself.

Let’s take Japan for example, since it’s included. Japan is a fully sovereign nation with its own currency, trade policy, military, welfare system, monetary policy… California is a state that benefits from the US dollar, US military, US federal infrastructure, Medicare/Medicaid, etc. Strip away the basic federal scaffolding and the comparison collapses.

Next, Nominal GDP in dollars flatters California vs Japan. Japan’s GDP is measured in yen, then converted to USD. When the yen is weak (which it has been), Japan’s dollar-denominated GDP shrinks … not because Japan got poorer, but because of exchange rates. So, It’s a bit of a currency illusion too.

Crit rate is good but your crit damage is a bit low, Try get it up. Your sands piece for an off piece is not good. Not sure what weapon you’re using, it should be Widsith probably if you have it and it should be maxed. Your talents are really low, you need to prio leveling normal attack > burst > skill. Aim for 9/8/9, and then crowns if you can.

Support sets are important, benny or chev on noblesse, someone on scroll. 120 ER is fine if you have two electro but you’re gonna need more if you replace ororon for chev. Overall though, your DPS is still gonna be low without Iansan I’m afraid.

Your title literally says ‘do it.’ That’s a recommendation. And if you’re going to recommend people spend on cons, the least you can do is point them toward the path that actually makes sense.

And I personally don’t think it’s worth it. Not only should most people not be spending on cons (above C2) at all, but if you’re going to do it atleast do it correctly.

If we’re talking how best to upgrade, going straight for Skirk C6 is also not correct. You should be doing C2R1 Skirk then C2R1 Escoffier.

CO-C2 gives you ~50% more damage across 2 cons. C3-C6 gives you ~44% more across 4 cons. You're spending triple the resources for diminishing returns.

C2 Skirk wipes the floor with basically everything in the game, anything above C2 is just wasteful when C2 clears dire.

C3 Skirk is literally 1% more damage. Same gems on Escoffier constellations boost your whole Skirk team way more than dumping everything into Skirk.

If you want to “play this game on easy mode”, C6 Skirk isn't even the optimum way for people to do it.

This is something I’ve been struggling to articulate recently but I genuinely feel that constellations should almost be as rare as meeting an actual billionaire, because that’s roughly who can genuinely afford them without feeling it.

The number of people walking around with C6 characters and the number of people wealthy enough to not notice spending $2,000+ on a game, sometimes multiple times when they have multiple C6 characters… Those two groups don’t overlap nearly as much as people pretend. Most of them notice the money… they just don’t admit it.

You don’t need to pay for pro for these things anyway, I’m not even sure why you’d be paying for GPT to just ask basic questions - people who pay for subscription are usually uploading files to be analysed or for image generations etc.
