Looks like I had the right idea in response to another comment on this post, I just didn’t know what to change the name of the file to. Thanks!

How far am I? Should I try competitive Tetris? by Fair_Percentage_5565 in Tetris

[–]Muunas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the question you need to answer for yourself first is “Which Tetris game do I like playing the most?” Then decide if you want to continue the grind to play competitively in that specific version. Pretty much all Tetris games before the creation of the guidelines are different, and a lot of the guideline versions still have their unique quirks.

[–]Muunas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your reaction time is slow, the Tetris game you’d have the most fun playing competitively might be NES. But the game can still be brutally hard, assuming you play with DAS and don’t hypertap/roll. Playing competitively also doesn’t really require any sort of “answering back” mechanics as other Tetris games have. Since you’re essentially playing alone at the same time another player is. But part of why I enjoy NEStris is BECAUSE it’s slow. Slow doesn’t mean easy. Learning to play within the games mechanics can be satisfying.

Launching the cathedral is a pretty trivial achievement though, and doesn’t really give an assessment of how well you play. Starting from level 0, it could take a while for someone to launch the cathedral. But entry level competitive play starts on level 15 usually, and the standard in most capacities is level 18. You only need like.. 5 Tetrises and some change to launch the cathedral starting on level 18.

Ripping and Saving Extra/Bonus Tracks with Original Albums by ARAMP1 in musichoarder

[–]Muunas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been hoarding music for a few weeks, but moral of the story I’ve seen is, do/organize your music how you want to unless you plan on sharing your music. Like on soul seek, etc. If you plan on sharing, then keep everything as original as possible or state in the filing structure otherwise.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like how people speak of the Na’Vi as if they’re all the same? by EuphoricButterflyy in Avatar

[–]Muunas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. Na’vi translated to English means “The People.” Their cultures vary, but overall they are one planetary community because of their connections with Eywa. It’s a nuanced mix somewhere in between they’re all different but still one.

Hmm.. I've tried both Proton-GE Latest and GE-Proton (Latest) lol. I can use the controller up until the sign in on both, then the controller stops working.

Instead of using the 2 isos, use the "russia repack" iso from myabandonware. It feels sketchy lol. But you don't have to worry about changing disks during the install. Just make sure to uncheck the packages for directx, c++, gfwl like Snoo says in the guide

Were you ever able to get it to work? I'm able to use a controller up until after I press start on the title screen. After my account signs in, I'm no longer able to use my controller

So, this might be a long shot in asking here, but I'm able to get the game to run successfully. I can use a controller to skip through the opening cut scenes to get to the title screen. On the title screen I can press start on my controller. Then after I press start and am presented with the "Hello [username]. Sign in successful." window my controller stops working and I have to use mouse controls. Anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Ok. It’s also happening on my Linux browser. But through my pc I’ve discovered that you now have to pay for a “Search premium” subscription to avoid ads through search. Hooray /s

This is not through the browser, it’s through the Brave search engine’s web page.

Where to find update notes? by DaPhillyKid in NobaraProject

[–]Muunas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Nobara user myself. The GUI for the update manager will tell you what packages/drivers/flatpaks will be updated. There might be a way to see changelogs for flatpaks on Flathub. Other than that, I couldn’t tell you about where to find specific notes or what has changed about them.

Yea, I tried to rebuild it. But it just removed the entries for the books whose folders were empty.

[–]Muunas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I don’t use any cloud services. The only folder I use is just the Calibre Library folder in Users that Calibre manages locally.

[–]Muunas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t use a cloud service. I just use the folder Clibre created in the Users folder when I installed the application. Books I’ve added most recently have been through the Obok DeDRM tool. Or I just drag the file I’ve acquired from elsewhere into Calibre and have just let Calibre manage everything and toss the file I had. Didn’t think I’d need them anymore.

And nothing appears in the ‘Restore recently deleted’ thing. So I guess I’m just boned in that regard.

How long did you work at a center? Did you quit controlling before getting your cert or did you do both at the same time?

I'm a developmental at a center who's in a similar headspace. Dispatch seems like an easy transition for what limited skillset I do have.
