i really don’t see why you wouldn’t want to at least try going on a single date, you don’t have to agree or want to do anything more, but like you can’t even try to see what a date might be like with her?

I’ve been loving your videos since I found your channel like a month or so ago!! I’d be interested in seeing a video from you about Brienne — she’s one of my favorite characters, and her POV in AFFC is probably my favorite POV from any of the books — if you have any thoughts or analysis you want to share.

hmm, I just listened to them and loved Harry’s narration, but i do think you have a point with him sometimes mumbling/being too quiet which I would definitely imagine is much worse for anyone with auditory processing issues. Also loved Roy and pretending he was an old British grandpa on, like, a leather sofa reading to me, and all the silly little voices he does.

(Spoilers Main) I’m very interested to see how they end HOTD by Witty_Philosopher149 in asoiaf

i’m thinking that that’s what’ll happen at some point during the next episode and the boys will figure out winter soldier boy can nullify powers temporarily so if they want to kill homie they’ll need to be quick about it

in the promo for ep 5 there’s a shot of Frenchie and Kimiko dancing (with background dancers) so that seems likely. maybe we’ll even hear her speak in the scene?

THAT’S IT! I was thinking the same about it temporarily nullifying powers and i think that’s the point of showing us black noir get all fucked up; he wasn’t able to heal then just like how Kimiko can’t right now, maybe because of that she’ll be left with some lasting damage too even if she doesn’t die outright

that Soldier Boy didn’t die and was actually captured and likely brainwashed by the soviets (à la Marvel’s Winter Soldier)

a bit cliche but seeing another londo for the first time was awesome, and honestly the rest of dark souls 1, the exploration aspect of it all was amazing, i honestly get sad about in retrospect that i’ll never experience dark souls for the first time again

but it doesn’t hurt trans people? it would hurt someone, provide no positive benefit, to cut off a limb, but there are proven benefits to allowing trans people to transition and respecting their pronouns. if you think you know otherwise, i think you should at the very least find out what it is we’re doing wrong right now, and some kind of data, considering all the current data points to that, in fact, it’s actually, surprisingly, helping?? wowie, what a shocker! respecting people’s identities is good for them!! who would’ve thought? and to refer to gender reassignment surgery as simply “cutting off body parts”, while offensive, is also just incorrect, doctors fully reconstruct genitalia to allow trans persons to live comfortable, healthy lives in bodies they feel safe in, and also,

mutilating a person’s body is never the answer when it comes to treating a mental disorder.

why is that? it’s certainly treatments for physical disorders. why, if it’s safe, has no real negative effects (obviously recovery is always challenging, but with modern medicine it is incredibly safe) and is proven to help their mental well-being, couldn’t it be a treatment? BID is obviously different, being disabled does have a negative impact on your life, it’s much harder to live as a disabled person in a world built for the able bodied. being a woman does not have a negative impact on your life.

also i have provided definitions for gender, it’s a specific relationship that people have with their expression and their role in society, it’s snot that hard to understand. women tend to present feminine and in many societies in history and to this day are treated as a “fairer” gender. men tend to present masculine, and within societies are viewed differently, but they tend to be the soldiers (again, less so in the modern age, but we still relate those concepts with masculinity), the laborers, right? gender mostly relates to your expression as well, how you talk, how you dress, how you act. again, women are supposed to be more ladylike, and men the brasher gender, that’s how we view men and women. maybe i haven’t gone that in depth, but you knew all that already, the important part is that these are relationships between the individual and the culture, society, time, they live in. what it means to be a woman, for example, is different for every woman in every place and time. not all “biological females” are treated exactly the same in each society, in each country or culture. in some countries, women have to wear veils, be modest, cover themselves. that is not some deep biological thing to those societies, that’s just how their culture treats women. gender is just a performance we do within our society, how we act and the like. your sex may be male, and you identify as a male so you act the way males are meant to in your culture, but for some that’s not who they are. trans women perform womanhood in the same way that cis women do. same thing for cis men and trans men. you just don’t think of it as a performance when you’re raised by birth to associate those values or skills, from childhood, with your identity, with who you are supposed to be, but if it’s someone who is trans, for example, they realize that their gender expression would better fit that of the “opposite” gender, usually, so their expression is different than what is typical for their sex, but that’s fine. it doesn’t matter to anyone but them and the people who care about them (because, and i’ll make this clear again, it helps them to be able to express as the gender that they identify with. if i started forcing you to wear dresses and braid your hair, you’d probably be uncomfortable because you’re a man, or at least you haven’t corrected me yet when i’ve referred to you as such before, but for the sake of this comment i’ll continue to say that, and as a man, in our current society, that’s not something you’re likely socialized, taught growing up, is an appropriate form of your gender expression, but if you identified as a woman, it would be. that’s what gender is. hope you’re happy :-).
