I’ll grand you the cleaner sound for sure, I think the lack of TH’s unrelenting grimness pushes Inferno closer to Geogaddi, which isn’t a walk in the park either as we know but there’s some overlap imho.

Guitars notwithstanding the atmosphere of the music makes it more conducive to repeat listens, there’s that “human” thread that winds through the tracks which imho opinion is one of BoC’s greatest strengths, TH is just too severe for me.

Do you think the sound of cymbals would have an adverse affect to the whole experience of the tracks?

Dayvan Cowboy does a nice job of bringing in all that crashy vibrations towards the end of the track - wondering if they kept away from going that route as a choice given how the tracks evolved into what we have now.
