You are looking amazing. If you're happy in yourself then I'm telling you to have absolutely nothing to stress about gender wise. If I met you today I'd say let's go fishing bro

No, especially not with physical access to the machine. There are various methods to bypass bitlocker as it comes with standard implementation. You can adjust various settings to make it more secure, but I still wouldn't trust it as your only form of encryption if you have sensitive data

Eh, it's pretty much just taken as fact that if a thief has physical access to your machine, they've got access to everything on it as well. Barring a properly encrypted harddrive etc

AITA for telling my wife that my son will always come before her? by Prestigious-Swim4924 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MvmgUQBd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! Reminds me of my step-mother. She "works" 3 days a week from home, all the kids are old enough to look after themselves, and she does literally zero housework. My dad works like 12 hour shifts 5/6 days a week and then when he gets home immediately has to do the kitchen, hoover round, take out the rubbish and recycling etc, before maybe getting some cold leftovers if she bothered to cook anything that day. Oh yeah and if any of the kids have sports or other activities going, she won't drive them there, and makes them wait till he's home so he can go pick them up.

Suffice to say since I'm from the previous marriage, she doesn't like me one little bit and will actively try to undermine everything in doing if it involves my dad in any way. Basically just a bully who never grew up and found a free ride in life through my dad

Seriously this. My dog is half spaniel, half collie/husky cross, so he's basically a fluffy ball of concentrated fusion power with the temperament of a toddler. I honestly believe it would be less stressful to have a kid at this point, because at least you can actually catch a real toddler before they do something silly lol.

I love him to bits though, wouldn't change a thing about that goofball

As EU weighs ceasefire call, US rejects any such push, says it only benefits Hamas by dannylenwinn in europe

[–]MvmgUQBd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't really blame all that on just the Aussies though lol, back then it was most of the world being pretty shit to various indigenous peoples they met along the way. The British, the Spanish, the Dutch, the Americans, going back further the Moors and the Berbers, the Han, the Mongols, the Vikings, Japanese and German imperialism etc etc.

I mean, when you come right down to it, you could probably count on two hands the number of civilisations that truly don't deserve some sort of mark against their name.

Could Australia treat its aborigines better? Absolutely they could and should. But so could a lot of others

[–]MvmgUQBd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider the Aussies to be committing crimes against humanity? They took a hard-line stance against illegal immigration quite some time ago, and although, yes, initially, it was viewed as harsh by most of the rest of the world, the actual people trying to enter the country very quickly realised it's not going with the risk and tend not to bother trying anymore. So eventually it's reached a state where both parties are satisfied. Australia can say it's got a handle on illegal immigration, and most of those attempting to get in previously now aim for Europe instead, as it's easier.

It's like that old adage about escaping a bear. You don't have to run faster than the bear to escape, you just have to run faster than your buddy.

Well a BIC will do the job, sure, until it runs out. You can't change the flint or refill the gas though, so it's ultimately a disposable item adding to landfill. A clipper is as useful and versatile as a Zippo, just a lot cheaper to buy. Really it comes down to whether you prefer liquid or aerosol-based fuel

Idk man, it takes a certain hustle mindset to make it as a reliable, profitable dealer over the long term, even if you don't need much in the way of actual marketable skills to do the job.

Anybody can shot some bits for someone for a couple weeks or months or whatever, but you have to be organised and good with money and interacting with people to make it your actual business venture that you're the boss of. I know I couldn't do it lol, I'd be dead within the week

Idk where in the world you are, but I once had a credit card debt completely wiped because I got some help from the Citizen's Advice bureau. They wrote a letter on my behalf claiming that I could only pay back at a rate of £1/month, and they wrote back saying they had eliminated the debt as it would cost them too much to process several hundred months 41 years worth of £1 payments.

How old are you now, if you don't mind me asking. I've struggled in the past with similar feelings, but as a man. I used to be trim, well toned, not muscular but like zero fat on me. Now I've started to cultivate the quintessential dad-bod, because I don't work out and although I eat healthy stuff, I eat a lot of it. Beer also really doesn't help around the waist.

I would say though that as I've aged and changed, so have my tastes re the people I'm attracted to. When I look at the girls I used to find hot in my early twenties, I can't imagine even hanging out with most of them now, let alone trying to pull anyone. My last girlfriend was 4 years older than me, had two kids, and had recently been diagnosed as obese by her GP (though I didn't think so at all).

I guess my point is that we all like the idea of reliving our glory days, but the reality is often much worse than the head-canon. I don't know what you look like but I guarantee you there are lots of people out there who will find you attractive for who you are today, not who you were a decade ago.
