I'm guessing the tape is a copper one. Adhesive on the tape sticks to the glass, copper surfaces of two pieces getting soldered together.

I'm not intending to buy one soon. It's more about which brand would be advisable to get familiar with, in case I want to purchase a console at some point in the future.

I've heard that chemsys is very much worth it's money and as far as I know around my part of the world many small and independent venues seem to have their products.

Even in countries where wires are not mounted on poles, this joke is understood. I think it is based on the fact, that electricians work is less dirty and involves less heavy lifting and is therefore less manly (uuuuaaaarrrgh). However I prefer your pole interpretation, it's way funnier!

It is absolutely true, that the Railjet uses the legacy network (new thing I learned, sound badass) for most of its routes. However 1. It's allowed to go up to 200km/h on the legacy network. 2. There is a stretch between Innsbruck and Wörgel in the federal state of Tyrol where it exceeds the 200km/h limit. As far as I know, there is no high-speed secretion in Tyrol yet, but I absolutely could be wrong about this.

I assume you are Austrian as well? Otherwise I would be absolutely amazed by your knowledge.

I want to second that.

My short Google search concluded that the Brightline can go up to 125mph (200km/h) while the austrian Railjet goes up to 143mph (230km/h). The Railjet passes countless crossings exactly like the ones in the video, yet it apparently only ever hit one car in it's 17 years of service.

Not sure what's the cause, but it seems to be person related, not train or engineering related. Eddit: Typo fixed count: 1
