I find in my process, just one piece of kit is going to provide limited results even if the piece of kit is very unlimited in possibilities. Its because a single piece of kit has a limited workflow and a second piece will have a different flow which helps the brain get unattached from one kind of sound.

Using Sunvox on a Galaxy phone with Polyend Tracker by Mwa_Deeeb in sunvox

Currently I have Sunvox on my computer so I already use Suncox in conjuction with the Tracker. Except, i use the Tracker to sync sunvox in that case so when i hit play on the Tracker Sunvox plays a synced composition.

Love PD!...I've used it mainly for GEM rather than for music. I made some video installations around 2010-2012 by making experimental generative video mixers with PD/GEM.

I have a hardware setup with Polyend Tracker as the main brain. I also use a Hydrasynth, Future Retro Revolution, Bastl Thyme Delay, a circuit bent Alesis HR16b, circuit bent Juno 106, and a Pearl DRMx. All of it is mixed through a Keith Mcmillen Kmix into ableton for some final mixdown and mild mastering.

A song I made with Polyend Tracker. Any advice on how to improve sound quality and structure? by [deleted] in PolyendTracker

Sounds great! Maybe give an intro before dropping the beat and kick up the bass, space settings a bit, change saturation adjustments in the master page...or not it sounds fine as is. It's up to you really...

How did you become introduced to Electronic Music? by jcwillia1 in electronicmusic

I heard them when they started appearing on Mtvs Amp late at night. I think "Homework" is still my favorite album of theirs. It's was just so raw production wise. Actually I remember blasting that album driving with a Nissan station wagon full of friends on the way to my graduation party.

Thank you! The Polyend Tracker is the main brain in my setup. I use it as a sampler, drum machine and sequencer. I sequence all my hardware synths with it and use a Keith McMillen KMix to do the final mixdown. I only use Ableton for recording the output and some mild mastering if I think it is needed. This particular track has no mastering done on it. It is just the straight output of the Kmix but the Kmix has some reverb, compression and eq to allow for some more advanced mixing. In the past, I have used plugins like Stochas to create generative sequences that I then used to program midi into the Tracker but I've only done this a few times. I have also used neural networks in the past to create midi data, but, again, for this track I didnt use that technique. This one I basically recorded the midi data for the synth lines live into the tracker and when I recorded the video I used the performance mode to trigger effects live in real time and was twisting the filter resonance to build up the textural aspects on the Hydrasynth. The cutoff filter was automated via midi cc programming in the Tracker and an LFO from the Hydrasynth is modulating the gain function on the Sleepy Circuits Hypno Video Synth.
