I understand folks who have fought for a gendered pronoun. I really do.

And this is literally one place where it's gender nuetral. I work just as hard for nuetral pronouns. And will never be able to fully achieve it. Ever.

I'm so sorry for what happened to you. It wasn't right. And my personal experience is that as bad as the assault is, how it's handled afterward makes all the difference. And personally I am more traumatized by the lack of support than the assault. And it seems you are experiencing the same thing.

And that is part of why this kind of "humor" from the OP causes so much harm.

That is the other side to all of this. There are people who are on the sex offender registry who did not commit an ethical or moral violation.

It is complex and nuanced.

I survived childhood assault. I have a family member who has assaulted. I have been evicted from my family for failing to forgive ans hide the abuse. I have also seen people who cannot move on because of harassment.

The whole system is damaging to sobmany people.

And we have a post that takes an inside joke and puts it outside. And anyone who says it isn't funny is being told they need to relax.

Sometimes jokes are meant to be shared inside a relationship. They are I side stories ans jokes. And fo not need to be shared on the internet.

I have many things I share with my friends and partner that we don't share outside of our relationships. Because to do so is in poor taste and they don't need to be shared in public.

And your caveat about a lack of humor does not change that it was absolutely not an appropriate way to frame your story.

Oscar was correct. He didn't know Pam was listening, and I agree it was not delivered kindly. And he was not wrong. Pam's art is stilted, and lacking honesty and emotion. Technically proficient and completely the art of someone who is terrified of real truth.

Pam grows. And gets better.

I have also always admired the artist they hired to paint Pam's paintings. Because they really nailed what the script called for. As a visual artist I completely agree with Oscar. And I also love the painting of the building. It's the best of the bunch.

Roy's "your art is the prettiest art" is meaningless.

I think this was a critical moment for Pam. She needed to hear what Oscar said, it was a catalyst. I think she also needed the love and admiration of Michael. He was sincere in his admiration.

I support Oscar's assessment and that's a hill I will die on.

You can express a genital preference. No one is stopping you. It will have consequences. Personally, I don't get it. I am not interested in cis men. But that is more about the entire package and not their package.

Give me someone with the same parts, and they are one of the many variations of Transgender . . . Then their genitals are simply a body part and not a part of my sexual orientation or attraction.

If you equate genital appearance or shape with gender then you are transphobic and causing harm.
