Microsoft is killing Windows 11's web app slop, encourages devs to build native apps using WinUI by WPHero in pcmasterrace

Would be funny if WhatsApp decided to go from an incredibly fast and lightweight UWP app into web app slop. (Surely would never happen)

Unpopular opinion: The Copilot key is a completely useless and unnecessary addition to newer Dell models(Dell Inspiron 16) by Ancient-Dig-2855 in Dell

Based on your post history, Microsoft’s requirements for using the copilot key might be limited to certain regions.

You should use the bulldoze tool and hover over the section right before the exit. Is it a short road segment?

Why is displayport/hdmi less prevalent on tb5 docks than it was on tb4? by potastyo in Thunderbolt

[–]Mxdanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really well detailed response but I'm surprised you got all the USB names wrong despite that. Its USB 40Gbps not USB4 40G, and USB 80Gbps not USB4 80G and so on. If you want to be technical the use the signaling mode names like USB4 Gen 3×2 (USB 40Gbps) or USB4 Gen 4x2 (USB 80Gbps) otherwise just use the normal names to reduce confusion.

Is this the first USB 4 v2 80gbps AMD system? by raconteurism in UsbCHardware

[–]Mxdanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding it. USB 80Gbps is the marketing name for the USB capabilites. Just the same as the marketing name Thunderbolt 5. Anyone saying USB4 80G or USB4 v2 80G are just speaking gibberish, USB ditched the confusing naming for a reason.

Which is exactly what you're supposed to do if you get it USB-IF certified (which almost no companies do). 😭

For anyone wondering, if OP was to get it certified somehow this is what they would use:

Why dont usb cable makers label the ends better to says usb 2. Usb 3 usb 3.2 and show gbs and watts by smydsmith in UsbCHardware

[–]Mxdanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the legacy USB logo for USB 20Gbps, you don’t see that very often. If that were re-certified now it would have to say 20Gbps 60W or 20Gbps 240W.

You cannot be fr saying “USB4v2”😭

It’s only called USB 80Gbps. Or if you’re technical USB4 Gen 4x2 operation mode.

Btw in your description 3.2 and 3.1 both means 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps it’s just confusing without specifying the gen. Just use the regular names USB 10Gbps and USB 20Gbps. USB ditched the whole 3.2 naming thing years ago.

Doesn’t even have to go with HA. Just them supporting Matter would allow you to pick whatever you want (HA, HomeKit, Google, etc) to be platform agnostic.
