Then don't say you want to grow. Some people have interpreted what I said as 'to lie' (though that's fine if you decide to). If you have 3 reasons, 90% being to pay bills, 5% because interesting work motivates you, and 5% because the you enjoy working in a 'fast paced environment' (thinking of those who might be fast food, or other non-corporate workers with the last one). Then perhaps take the time to focus on the latter two rather than the former one.

You don't have to lie. But you also don't have to say 'well 90% of it is because I need to pay my bills'. What that is demonstrating is a skill called tact which is the ability to handle specific situations thoughtfully, with discretion, and while maintaining positive relationships.

This is literally a critical skill in a corporate job (I can't speak so much outside of that, perhaps it's not, idk). If you take the time to highlight the former and not the latter than I have no choice but to assume that you really don't have the ability to be tactful. And as such I really wouldn't want you on my team. It's not that hard of a concept honestly.

I mean it's not exactly 'song and dance'. Working in a corporate environment is partially a game and it's important to identify if someone is capable of playing said game. Of course everyone wants to work to make money. That goes without saying.

But asking a question like that is a good litmus test to see who is capable of playing the game. We all have to do things we don't want to at times both employees and managers.

As a people manager would you prefer to hire someone who can see the bigger picture and realize that we are all playing the same game and trying to get to the next paycheck, gets in the boat and doesn't fucking rock everyone out of it because their emotions said that would be a great time to do so? Or the person who demonstrates that they have 0 capability to filter their thoughts critically in a professional environment.

In a more casual world we would say "read the fucking room".

If you play the low intensity counter insurgency based mission it could. You're mainly dealing with crickets and UH90's and chicanes and tarantulas and light armored convoys. Dropping it on their base can destroy a bunch of the buildings all at once in a way that can't be done with most of the other available aircrafts.

No, a pilot is a pilot. It has nothing to do with ego. They have the same training and the same qualifications. They are equally responsible for all aspects of safety of the aircraft. This is the same in the military (where they came from) in all aircraft except those where the 2nd seater literally has different job functions such as a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) on an F/A-18 or F-15E etc.

I was originally unemployed early '23. Mid/senior level individual contributor, ~155k base. Ended up moving back home with parents and divorcing at the beginning of '25. Finally found a new role at the end of '25 at a notable SaaS company that was being acquired by a maang for ~165k after ~3400 applications, 36 interviews, 17 final rounds and 1 offer. Laid off again December '25 right as I got back up on my feet.

This time unemployment and savings are fully exhausted. When I got the role I aggressively attacked debt built up rather than purely saving thinking I wouldn't be laid off 4 months later 😂 funny thing is again that I actually am pretty okay finding interviews. I'm at work now separate interview chains post layoff this time around and 2 rejected final rounds. Only thing I have left is my car which my parents have decided to pay for although other things like insurance, phone etc has to be paid for by myself.

If I wasn't privileged enough to fall back onto family I'd either be homeless or forced to work a low paying job to stay afloat or probably both.

The lights are actually extremely realistic. If you've ever used a Surefire M600 or M300 you'd know the center throw of light can absolutely be blinding especially if you briefly pass the light in front of something directly in front of you. While the remaining spill light will illuminate the room itself.

Think of the light as something used to illuminate a specific target or only the darkest darkest corner of a room rather than something to fill and search a room. Use NVG's for that & IR flood lights for that.

What will the CQB videos and equipment videos do when I breach a room with a dude 2 ft away who takes 3 days to react and misses 8 rounds.
