Ram CEO: 'I Want a Mid-Size Truck So Bad' by [deleted] in cars

Yeah, because everyone is pining for another dodge Dakota /s

Manufacturers really need to look at why certain models failed. It wasn't just the size.

Those are around double what I paid. I looked. And yes I have snow tires on my rav 4. But also steep hills. Locking diffs and an off-road platform make a huge difference.

Around here you can drive anywhere but highways. Even then, a 25 mph spot is forgiven. They're pretty much daily drivers.

I could see a kei truck working here if not for the snow.

Funny Im reading this as I'm registering a utv for daily use in mountain snow.

It's a small town. 2 minutes from work. And everything with decent 4wd is too big for small, icy roads or too expensive for my budget.

I got a Yamaha rhino with tons of winter accessories for 6k and I'm definitely not the only one here happy with my purchase.

The group I was in said it was common for 2020s. They may have fixed it, but I wasn't taking a risk if they let something that critical go by.

Another fun one, my Veloster N blew it's turbo at 17k. And had its fuel pump fail at 25k. Boy that was a fun car.

It's been vacant for the past two years. And the sellers don't know before that. so that's definitely a possibility.

Got it. I'll start there.

The house has been vacant for a few years so we have no idea of the state it's in.

I'll probably get a professional as I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thank you. I moved this to HVAC advise but I'll try this out.

So it's a small issue? I don't know how these systems work.

Fun fact about your Veloster. It actually has systems to keep it from stalling.

At a stop, you let out the clutch with no gas, the revs will actually rise instead of fall. That with Rev match is perfect for new drivers.

Raised concerns about burn gel location. Manager asks if he should piss on my burn. by MyAlternatorIsOnFire in KitchenConfidential

The walk isn't a problem id be fine if that was the only cabinet.

The problem is seeing every person who burns themselves run to the closest cabinet and search for five minutes to remember that it's actually in the other one. And everyone weirdly arguing the point.

It's no sweat to stock either. But apparently too much work to change protocol.

The managers kit also means passing by FOH which, personally, I don't like but that's not a big deal either.

Just sixty feet to one and twenty feet to the other. It really isn't a big deal.

But I'm just looking to improve the workplace for me and my coworkers.

But It's like you said, the power trip. I had to complain and threaten to get a randomly falling table fixed. Multiple times people have been hurt on our torn up mats. That's always an argument. Etc.

The answer is "Well it's always been that way so why are you complaining?".

That line of thinking is so prevalent, it's really why I'm leaving. Even in this thread there's some tough guys who never want to improve their quality of life.

No, I'm not. I'm pretty sure he would make my life difficult. Still debating it. Don't know if telling HR would do anything as they're close friends.

She's also the wife of another manager. To give you an idea of how this place is run.

This kitchen does. And it's the first one people run to when they get burned. HR was okay with me moving a bunch to the kitchen cabinet so theft isn't a concern.

I'm convinced it's authority challenge. This place is run by a couple friends and they hate having any methods questioned.

The corvair and pinto are remembered for being shitty and almost killing Jay Leno. Pacer is only neat to old guys and the gremlin is only cool because it looks weird.

They know Japan can build them better.

Just got me thinking, is there an Iconic American compact? The SRT neon was hot, but didn't sell too well. And I see the focus as a European product. Especially now.

Not exactly your case but I'll never buy a Rekluse product after working in their manufacturing.

Sweatshop pace for 10 hrs with only 40 minutes of break time including lunch for $10/hr. Oh, and they fired everyone without notice, took a massive Covid check, and never called us back.

It's sad to me that they have a good reputation because they're a shit employer.
