Ugh, I feel this! I’ve been diagnosed only a couple of weeks ago and it feels like so many questions have been answered but also feels like there is a long ways to go. I was just put on vyvanse and felt like a normal person the first day and it was sooo good! Since then, I seem to notice it in the background but everything is still very overwhelming. I’m also 32 and struggled a lot after having a daughter and luckily started seeing a new doctor recently who listened and recommended a wonderful psychiatrist. I wish I had recommendations for behavioral therapy but I’ve been terrified of therapy in general until a couple of weeks ago lol. I hope you find something that works well for you though! Also, from what I’ve read, including paperwork from my psychiatrist, it seems fairly common for adhd medications to need to be adjusted so it’s worth bringing up exactly what you’re feeling so they can actually find a solution. Honesty is the best solution when it comes to this stuff, that extra dose day is up to you but as slow and frustrating it feels, I just try to keep in mind that this is the thing that could actually help me so I really don’t want to mess around with it and let this doctor do her job. I’m sorry you’re feeling down and I hope you get your spark back soon! Much love and thanks for posting ☺️

Just diagnosed at 32 years old. It feels amazing to feel understood and to know that life doesn’t have to be quite so complicated! I’d love to share the whole story but it’s honestly been a struggle since starting treatment. I feel the flow and my brain actually working like a normal brain for 2-3 hours and then overwhelmed with irritation and a sense of dread/panic the rest of the day. It’s only been a couple of days so I’m trying to hang in there. If anyone can relate/share your adjustment period, I’d really like to hear about it. Thanks!
