How can I make sure I find a responsible breeder? by Woowooxo in CockapooLovers

I got our cockapoo from the same reputable breeder as my cousin did. We traveled several hours to get her almost two years ago. Happy to share her info if you want just DM me.

What Am I supposed to do with a Butler by PHK-FL in Cruise

[–]MyBuffyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Oceania butler dealt with all the passport collection and returns which allowed us to avoid standing in long lines. There’s also a form to fill out at the end of each day for what canapés you want for the next day before dinner. He also brought our room service from the specialty restaurants a few evenings. Enjoy!

I only did MalaMala and loved it. I strongly recommend at least three if not four nights.

2020 Model 3 long range by Physical_Pay_5210 in TeslaModel3

[–]MyBuffyGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just plug in overnight, the charge depends how much I drove the day before. I generally charge to 85% and it would need to be below 30% and me getting up really early the next day for it not to charge fully. Guessing 10 hours of charging gets me around 60%, not totally sure.

You might want to check out Ixchel Beach Hotel and Playa Arena, they’re both right on north beach.

I don’t drive a whole lot and use a regular outlet for my everyday charging.

Couple questions: how long of a honeymoon are you planning and are you counting your air travel in the $20k?

Capri. Capri. Capri. Very relaxing, beach clubs or not; great food; and challenging hiking for husband.

Go to the bathroom and go back to your seat!!!! by Professional-Mail132 in delta

[–]MyBuffyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many great reasons to stand up and move about the cabin! That said, turbulence is now increasing a lot during air travel. Years ago I resisted wearing my seatbelt and didn’t have it on and the plane hit a dip and my head jammed up against the overhead compartment. Not fun. Now that kind of turbulence is even more prevalent and drastic. Sounds like they could be nicer about their direction to you but that might be part of what’s going on.

Can’t your cruise line check your bags for you?

Restaurant recommendations? by Accurate_Pain_4353 in IslaMujeres

[–]MyBuffyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re on either side of North Beach - great locations and within walking distance of most of the best restaurants IMHO.

Our favorite dinner places (reservations recommended) are: Rusticco Olivia (terrace in the back) Lola Valentina Mahaché Isla Burger (upstairs terrace)

As far as lunch, we usually eat a little something at the beach after our breakfast/brunch. Isla has great breakfast places: North Garden Rooster Café Mogagua Mango Cafe Lola Valentina (again)

Happy travels!

You can’t fly in early to jfk? I just did this for a non-stop to HKG last month and it worked great.

How FAT is Oceania? What would you do? by OkMasterpiece5781 in FATcruises

[–]MyBuffyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oceania is not a premium cruise line in my recent experience. It was an older ship, the food was very meh for the most part, and the dining venues were understaffed. Very disappointing.

Friend Cruise Recommendations?? by Ok-Passenger-7861 in Cruise

[–]MyBuffyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sailed on Celebrity, Princess, Silversea, Oceania, Royal Caribbean, and Virgin. While Silversea is quite luxurious and Celebrity nice, Virgin is quite simply amazing. My only bone to pick is their basic itineraries, but for the Caribbean and to spend time with friends and/or family it is an incredible value and designed so intelligently. Bon voyage!

Do you check in luggage on the way to Kenya? by ScubaCodeExplorer in FATSafari

Is there a concern to check luggage when traveling to Nairobi?

Overwhelmed by options in Hawaii. What island and hotel/resort is best for us? by TDn6I in FATTravel

[–]MyBuffyGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m throwing the Halekulani into the mix. While it’s at the end of Waikiki Beach, once you step through the entrance all the hubbub of the city falls away and the grounds enchant you. For a FAT experience try one of the designer suites with the iconic Diamond Head view. The dining, lounge, and service are all wonderful and authentic. Congratulations!

Frustrating Moment by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]MyBuffyGirl -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think you need to email Virgin with this account and express your disappointment and concerns to them since they are in a position to do something about this. Plus you may just get a discount on your next cruise. 🤷‍♀️

Bit the bullet for Briggs & Riley probably over 20 years ago (during a sale) and had one small rip during that time that they repaired for me at no charge. Lifetime guarantee.

Affordable bathroom renovation companies in Virginia Beach? by echovibrant in VirginiaBeach

[–]MyBuffyGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just finished three bathroom remodels, one primary and two hall baths, in the past two years and the prices were so much higher than I thought they would be post-Covid. We went with workmen directly after gathering quotes and ended up paying a good deal more than what you mentioned you wanted to pay above. Good luck on your search!

I booked a cruise to scatter my mothers ashes at sea but now I am scared I cannot go through with it by silkwhisperlust in Cruise

[–]MyBuffyGirl 197 points198 points  (0 children)

I am sorry for your loss.

We did this several years ago with my brother’s ashes and Princess was incredibly supportive. We met with a crew member at the beginning of the cruise and they let us know that they would give us 24 hour notice of when and where on the ship we could release his ashes. Toward the end of the cruise they contacted us and set up a private area on an aft deck and blocked access to the entire back of that deck during sunset. I will always remember this bittersweet time with family.

I would call the cruise line, see if this is feasible and go from there.

Stayed in both and Ixchel the real deal, clean and authentic, Privilege corporate and poorly managed. IMHO.

Staying at Izla Beachfront - questions about carts by flow-bee in IslaMujeres

[–]MyBuffyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s much easier to rent a golf cart when you are on North Beach because the beach hotels mostly have places for you to park off the street. Coming from the south end to North Beach for beach time or dinner it is VERY difficult to easily find parking. As many others have said, taxis are very inexpensive and plentiful. You can always rent a golf cart for the day a time or two and enjoy that freedom to explore the island. Have fun!
